Knick Victory Is Costly
24th December, 2005 - 7:18 am
New York Daily News - Things have been so bad for the Knicks lately that even the wins hurt.

Stephon Marbury needed a strong game and a victory like never before and the Knicks' point guard got both last night. But there may have been a costly side effect. Marbury suffered a bruised left hand in the second half of the Knicks' 98-90 win over the slumping Utah Jazz , an injury the Knicks believe will not keep him out of Monday's game against the Nets.

X-rays taken immediately following the game were negative and Marbury reported no pain in his nonshooting hand. However, there was some minor swelling near his left pinkie and there is a possibility that Marbury may need an MRI to determine whether he suffered ligament damage.

If Marbury is out in the next game, I think it would be a good test to see how this team plays without him. If he's really injured, that might cost his trade value (if he has any).

Unless it's really severe, a wrist injury usually doesn't affect you until the next day. That's been my experience at least. That's why I wasn't too relieved when I saw him continue playing.

This is gonna be very good for the team.

To see how we react without our "savior" in the lineup.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I would like to see how Q and Jamal would play together in the backcourt with out Marbury. Also Jamal seems to really heat up when Marbury is not on the court.

LOL! I guess I did walk into that one! I've hyperextended my left wrist twice playing *basketball*, but I probably have about as much of a chance of convincing you guys it was from basketball as Malik Rose has of dunking in a game without using a ladder.

I strongly doubt that marbury doesnt play on monday, Ive been curious to say how the knicks play for an extended period of time without marbury for while now, and the 1 thing I've learned is that it never happens.
and also I actually like the way marbury has been playing lately
