A funeral can be a traumatic event. There is no predicting how any individual internalizes or expresses grief. These are young men who think of themselves as invincible. They must feel superior to compete and win.

The competitive edge may have been lost when a senseless loss of life takes a front seat to playing a game.

yeah, just like brett favre who's dad died the night before going out and winning a huge game two years ago. i dont want to dismiss tragedy to a family, but using it as an excuse as to why the knicks are losing basketball games is borderline absurd. the colts head coach's son dies and the first thing the team says is that they will WIN this weak for coach. there is likely a death in the family of players from every team every year--infortunately this was a crime that should not have been a death, but using it as an excuse for basketbal play? can i remind you that we have been doown double digits in 20-24 games.

this is almost sad that we have to take a tragedy and use it as a blanket excuse as to the Knicks misfortunes.
Personal life is personal life and there is 15 NY Knick basketball players. Q took his time to be with his family--is it any different from any normal person on this earth--life goes on

we could use this to explain Q's pathetic play, but he's played this way since day one with us.

to suggest that depression is the cause for the Knicks malaise decries the actual validity of tragedy itself. Im quite sure Q-rich wouldn't want this posted.

As a coach I would welcome your opinion. Really.

I thought a life event would galvanize this group as a unit. Im not saying it would be a motivatoing factor, but the young guys could lean more on the vets and humanize the experience and build a trust. Silly me, it seems more the reverse.

I can understand Q's game and he may be done for the year until he can gains some sense and closure for this tragety. Its bad enough he already lost so much in his life before.

These guys played some nice ball on the last road trip and have really fallen on their face.

IM not concerned about Nate or anyone not playing. This team is young and under a lot of pressure due to the intensity that is LB and his staff!

If this was college I can see the breaking of souls until they come together as a team and leadership is born from that process. I think this is happening, but its all speculative until we come out the back end of this.
