is it possible???? can we do it??? i for one would be down to trade all our good players minus Channing for expiring deals.. is it possible for us to do this and get some picks and under the cap to sign a grade A FA?

no. NY is the only team still increasing payroll. The other 2 rich teams - Mavs and Blazers - both have been on a push to reduce long-term salary

Some of these contracts are so bad, we might be stuck with them. We're definitely stuck with crawfords bad contract. He's a 6th man making starter money. Marbury is near impossible to move. We might be better off just riding out this storm until the contracts expire or at least are in the last year and then we can move them.

guys like Curry and Crawford are relatively inexpensive. It's worth sitting on them and praying that they pan out & become a bargain. They're not untouchables but I have no problem holding onto them and hoping for the best because they can be perfect complimentary pieces on a good team. We just have to bring in clear cut smart, franchise players & leaders. Either with cap flexibility and/or racking up lottery picks. Once we trade Marbury we'll we can see where we need to go from there. If Curry & Crawford don't improve they will be tradeable because of their reasonable contracts and potential.
