We blamed Ewing for not being team oriented and after he left our team spent some time in the lottery.

We blamed Allan Houston for being one dimensional and not being a true leader and being a soft mother(shut yo mouth). Now he's gone and we go from mid lottery to finding our way to one of the NBA's worst records.

We may see the departure of Stephon Marbury soon and it has become clear to me that we will become the Phoenix Suns East.

Is it possible that our stinkatude runs deeper than just our star players? Could Isle's and Fish be on to something?

I dont know if I am being overly optimistic but here is what I think:

The post Ewing era was a dark tunnel leading us to a dead end. We were losing and going nowhere at the same time. This current roster gives me some hope. We have a skilled Forward/Center in Frye and a potential franchise center in Curry. We have expiring contracts in AD and Penny and we can trade guys like Q, Craw and even Stephon if we need to.

I think the blame game has stopped or slowed down now. I think Larry, Isaih and the Curry-Frye team can lead us somewhere. I never felt this way at anytime in the post Ewing era.

Also: When Ewing was blamed, he wasnt blamed because the team was losing, he was blamed because we werent winning a championship. He was blamed cause he lost to Jordan and Hakeem. After Ewing was traded, this season is the first I can see light at the end of the tunnel.

what we needed so desperately post ewing was two top five picks, preferably number 1 or 2. You get a lebron James a dwight Howard a Wade a Bosh etc.... or better yet you get two of those and then you are on to something. Maybe someone will say Frye Curry, and it has potential, IF and its a HUGE IF IF Curry dedicates himself to losing 25 pounds and coming in at 100 % physcial fitness--otherwise I see his career being plagued and shortened+ his play with not be consistent. The very sad part for Knick fans is we have a $$$$ advantage and we just havent spent the money well. You know if we got a Howard and a wade, we couldve surrounded them with another 75mm in talent--other teams cant. I see a guy like greg oden, now I understand that the odds are not the best, but wouldnt you want to leave yourself a tad of leeway with a guy who is a tRUE once every 10-15 year player just in case? whats with the swaperroo? what in the name of knick fans was that little fck up?
