Ex-Kansas center Eric Chenowith, selected by Layden in the second round last summer but cut before training camp, was released yesterday before today's summer league - the ultimate indignity. Layden picked Chenowith in the draft at 43 over Loren Woods and Jarron Collins. Chaney likes Croatian 7-foot center Mate Skelin, 26, and could invite him to camp if he has a strong Boston showing. "He has a skill level around the basket," Chaney said.
>>> Chenowith being dumped is a huge diss. Skelin, Kerner shold make it to training camp as centers and one should take Felton Spencer spot. Look for it to be Skelin, although Kerner has NBA (Orlando and Knick) experience. Games start tonight at 8pm!
