I was just checking salaries and messing with the RealGM trade checker. I'm like damn......the best players on the Knicks are also the guys that are making the least. I'm talking about Channing, Lee, Nate, Ariza, Butler....you can probably throw Wood in there cuz he's looked good and better than some of the guys that have been here from the begining on the season.

I'm not posting salaries but Penny is the highest paid Knick right now. He's just useless. Then Antardio Davis, Taylor, Malik stick out like sore thumbs....geez they are making all-star money.

Well my theory is to begin cutting costs and trade for some expiring contracts.

Voshon Lenard is gonna be a free agent and he could be available. Earl Watson is his teamate in Denver....but with Earl playing so well since they started showcasing him I think Earl's stock is just too high for the Knicks right now.

I dunno..... I'm just talking about trying to dump guys like Malik and Taylor. What do you guys think?

I think unless you have a no brainer deal, you let AD & Penny expire.

I think the biggest salary problem right now is Marbury's contract- while he does earn most of it, certainly better than a mo taylor or malik type- and if you could move me in a reasonable deal, you do it.

not saying any of these will happen but, to clear cap, these deals work.

I agree let AD and Penny expire, and I believe we can also lose Houston's contract a yr earlier do to his retirement, that would be about close to $40 million right there.

that moves us from outrageous to unreasonable- a start...
