Marbury
Q. Woods

FOR

Swift
Wesley
Norris
Fut. 1st

Do you see any changes or moves that the Rockets might make to get back into the playoff picture?
– Bryan (Houston, Texas)

EJ: I honestly thought the Rockets were a major contender before the season, but it's obvious that they need to find a penetrator at the point guard position to create some easier opportunities for Yao and McGrady. I love Luther Head, but he is too young to be put in that position.

Can't be completed until March.......

Mmmmmm.....spring cleaning.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I dont know if the rockets would give us a fut 1st, and also our pg would be aged averagly talented david wesley, but then again david wesly would do no worse a job a pg then marbury did becuase that idiot brown has turned marbury into wesly. if wesly can run LB's system better and play some defense then I could see this trade as being an upgrade, but we might have to give up more, I dont think houston is THAT sour on stro

Wesley is a short shooting guard.
We need another PF? We don't need Swift!
I don't know the Rockets picks the next few years.
Norris is awful, Id rather bring in a point project from the Developmental league.

Not being an insider, we really don't know what is going on with Marbs. His confidence seems to be shot as he is unsure when to be aggressive and when to trust team ball movement.

I can't imagine a scenario where he would NOT go thru this if he is to be successful eventually! I can't think of three mentors than Phil Ford, LB, and Isiah who you would not want to be working with Marbs. If he can't get this, he really is a selfish miserable ignorant arrogant talented basketball player. This supreme talent if harnessed can be a fab point guard. This must be very hard for Marbs, but if he really is trying and not fighting it, then its just a matter of time. He must be under a lot of pressure, but this is the big leagues and there is a price for glory, and a huge payday!.

Luther Head, if Marb goes to Hou, we would need expiring/near expiring contracts, #1 pick and some Head.

This piece of an article might say differently about Stro's place on Houston's team.

With the centers out, Stromile Swift, who had played the position nearly as much as Mutombo, and Lonny Baxter will have to man the post. Neither had a rebound in Sunday's 76-74 win over the Lakers, with Swift playing 20 minutes. Swift had two rebounds in 16 minutes during an 89-81 loss to the Clippers on Saturday.

"We have to get more out of Stromile," Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy said before Sunday's game. "From what I thought this summer would be our rotation, we have four perimeter players out and Yao, too. At the same time, we can still win. If you have Tracy McGrady on your team and you play really hard and really smart, you can find a way to be in a game. And if you can be in a game, you can win a game. We have no excuses. We don't want any."

If he was hear we'd be biotching about him too. Shouldn't he have blossomed by now? Swift at 27 is a target of ours because he could blossom. Curry at 22 is never going to get better. I'm so confused as to what NY fans want.

the grass is always greener bip. If swift were here instead of curry, he would be called dumb and useless and we would be lamenting not getting curry...

The more and more I review team rosters, the only team that would want Marbury and could absorb his contract is Houston. He would fit well with them too.

I don't know if you could do a trade for Head, #1 pick in 2006, 2008, #2 picks, Spoon, Wesley, Sura for Marbury, Nate.

What do you guys think of that? I would think long and hard if I was Zeke.

No lottery protection of course.

i think toronot would take steph also. they have nobody there to sell tickets.

i think we could move steph for jalen rose, unprotected 2006 #1, and protected 2008 #1
it's a salary dump.

the only team that would be BEGGING for steph is minny but we have to take back long contracts.

the only reason to make such a trade is if the knicks can gain something financially from moving marbury, if marbury is having trouble running the offense, head would have just as much if not more.

JVG hates Marbury. I don't see it happening.

I don't think we can trade Marbury to a winning team, his reputation is so bad around the league at this point, rightly or wrongly. He'd need to go to a bad team that wants a "star" to draw fans.

But, as I've said, I think the Marbury/Brown experiment needs more time. Chauncey didn't click with Brown until half way through the season. heck, Detroit wasn't even that good until Sheed showed up.

why would Head fail where Snow, Billups and others did not? The Knicks gain financially from moving Marb for expiring contracts and would gain by the picks.

Where did you hear this? And as much as he hates him, TMac, Yao, Marb lineup is what it takes to compete with Dallas, Spurs and that prospect has got make make whatever hair is left with Gundy stand on it's really really short ends.

Yeah that is new to me. He always had glowing things to say about him. I think he only had one negative thing to say about Marbury and that was when he was with the T-Wolves. Both Marbury and KG acted like jerks when they beat the Knicks and JVG was upset about that.

I don't see Memphis making any big deals right now since they already have about 15 wins, their team could use a few minor moves but I don't think their going to go trading away 3 of their main core guys.
