BENCH MIN FGM-A 3PM-A FTM-A OREB DREB REB AST STL BLK TO PF PTS

Qyntel Woods, GF 20 3-6 0-1 2-2 4 4 8 1 0 0 0 4 8

The guy had a good game, we know he can shoot the 3 ball, good handles, good size at 6'8 and 221 lbs, can drive to the hoop, take his man off the dribble and most of all he is already here and he is CHEAP !!! No trades necessary !!!
LB should be able to teach him better defensive technique ( just like he would with just about all the SF's in the league except Artest ). I just think we might be looking for "greener" grass on the otherside, when if we just look at our own grass, it might be fully grown yet but with a little time and nuturing it can be just as green as all the others !!

Isiah Thomas will lead us back to the playoffs in 2006 !!!

Qdog is okay, but we really need to start seeing Lee out there I am real sick of seeing Rose get Lee's burn time, Rose couldn't hit the side of a barn and moves like he thinks hes Karl Malone or something, the guy sucks.

FREE LEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I think we are set at the 3 for now. Biggest move we could make is getting the rotation down by shipping out AD, Rose, and MoT. Trade Penny too or let him expire. Our mantra right now should be less is more. Get these dead weight players out of the way.

He had a good game. Thats good because we need any SF help we can get. A couple of games under his belt in NY and he will probably become the starter...

I agree bout Lee (along with everyone else). Who cares if we lose with him out there? Would there be a difference? we're losing now.

I garauntee he would immediatel be our best rebounder. When we traded Kurt and Sweets away, we gave up all of our rebounding. I would wager our second point shot attempts are among the worse in the leaguee. I don't care if he has not jump shot.

I saw him in the Atlanta game and he just continued to impress me. He has certain glow about him. He just seems like he can really be special. It would be nice to hold on to woods and see what he will do come Feb.

I think the Knicks need stay consistent and not change players ona again off again even if we have a crappy team let them be a team not interchange players no chemistry on our team
It's funny how this whole world is based on one dummy controlling another, and the leader dummy was chosen by a whole bunch of dummies.

Q, not richardson but woods will have to wait for his opportunity.. So far when he's in the game, looks very impressive.. He got skills and also young..
Hopefully with a 2nd chance, he'll take an advantage of it showing what he can do on the court

I like him... A typical agile, long SF...

He's a lot stronger looking than I realized. I thought he was one of those long scrawny players but he has a lot more muscle (and fat) than I realized. His build is kind of borderline SF/PF.

Here's a pre-draft writeup on Woods in 2002. While thosewrite-ups tend to be optimistic, they were comparing Qyntel to McGrady.

http://nbadraft.net/profiles/qyntelwoods.htm

NBA Comparison: Tracy McGrady

Strengths: (Based on hearsay) Possibly the most talented prospect in the entire 2002 NBA Draft if he declares. Has skills that are unteachable. Part of the new breed of NBA players, of the Tracy McGrady, multi-skilled, ultra athletic types. A do it all player. One NBA insider I spoke to said he will be a top 3 pick and may end up the best player in the entire draft class.Comparing him to McGrady, he probably isn't the run jump athlete but his handle and shot are better. More importantly, "He's a good kid. I've met him and talked with his family, and he may not have taken the usual course to the NBA, but he's a good kid." Very versatile, extremely skilled wing player, with great size and quickness. Can handle the basketball extremely well at 6-9, scores with a variety of moves to the basket, and has a nice shooting stroke. Explosive player with very good scoring ability.

Weaknesses: The Juco stigma. Kedrick Brown paved the way, jumping from a Juco player to being a lottery pick. However, he has had a slow start in Boston struggling for minutes. There will be no shortage of NBA scouts following Woods development this season.

Why are we NOT talking about him ??
