a few hits from the game
- your celebrities of choice...mark messier, fat joe, and....fishmike?!?! yup, fishmike joined your friendly neighborhood djsunyc at the game last night. the best thing about the night was seeing fish's eyes light up as i was chomping down a footlong hotdog with chili and cheese. that was CLASSIC.
- after the past few "LIVE from section 406" posts, i just realized that i sit in 404. i'm not a SMAAAART man jenny.
- i had a rough day at work on wednesday. probably the roughest in my 9 years on the job. so i finally leave work around 7 to head up to the game. only for this team to just kick me when i'm already down. they're awesome. it's like i walk into the garden, give them my ticket, and then immediately bend down and grab my ankles. we're all sadists...SADISTS!!!
- it's really painful watching them trying to play. it's especially tough watching stephon play. it's like he's castrated and being asked to pick up a girl at a strip club. his mojo is gone and if he's not allowed to use some of it, then we should move him. either move him or fire larry b/c it's clearly not working. this is not going to have a good ending...
- antonio davis is the slowest man alive. i can hear his joints creak as he tries to take a jump shot (which is SOOO money). he's like one of those big tree dudes in lord of the rings.
- hey, look, the girl in the 1st row in our section has an atomic wedgie with her thong. awesome. oops, sorry, back to the greatest game in nba history...the garden was BUZZING from the get go. it's like every single play was the "dunk" by john starks. i came home looking to dvr this bad boy today b/c i was 100% convinced it was going to be an insta-classic on espn. ok, maybe not. oh man, this is brutal...the place was absolutely DEAD. nothing to cheer for. absolutely nothing.
- lebron james, amare stoudamire, dwight howard...pick 'em.
- boo bird were strong and mighty. there were three times they were ESPECIALLY loud. crowd was filing out early. i mean, this is what happened the 2nd half of last season. it's ONLY DECEMBER!!! it's only the SEVENTH HOME GAME!!! wow. i feel bad for us, i feel bad for them. times are tough.
there's really nothing else to say that hasn't already been said. i don't know if going after artest is a good thing. he is a wildcard. you can get a really good player here or you can get somebody that will f ck it all up (you know, going from .286 winning percentage to .125). and you CAN NOT put him and steph on the same court. it's a recipe for disaster and i don't know if i want artest around frye. it's a dicey proposition with him. i would prefer moving steph, getting a pick or two in return, with a solid player. my ideal move would be steph for bibby but that's neither here nor there. and it was never a talent issue with steph...it was a leadership one. and he isn't one.
another question, why can't david lee get out of his joseph aboud yet mr. petco can get 7 minutes in his first day in a jersey? very interesting. is it b/c david's white? is larry brown anti-gentile?!?!!?
anyway, i'm tired, this team is in a bad place, and there's nothing else to say. bah humbug.
