a few hits from the game

- your celebrities of choice...mark messier, fat joe, and....fishmike?!?! yup, fishmike joined your friendly neighborhood djsunyc at the game last night. the best thing about the night was seeing fish's eyes light up as i was chomping down a footlong hotdog with chili and cheese. that was CLASSIC.

- after the past few "LIVE from section 406" posts, i just realized that i sit in 404. i'm not a SMAAAART man jenny.

- i had a rough day at work on wednesday. probably the roughest in my 9 years on the job. so i finally leave work around 7 to head up to the game. only for this team to just kick me when i'm already down. they're awesome. it's like i walk into the garden, give them my ticket, and then immediately bend down and grab my ankles. we're all sadists...SADISTS!!!

- it's really painful watching them trying to play. it's especially tough watching stephon play. it's like he's castrated and being asked to pick up a girl at a strip club. his mojo is gone and if he's not allowed to use some of it, then we should move him. either move him or fire larry b/c it's clearly not working. this is not going to have a good ending...

- antonio davis is the slowest man alive. i can hear his joints creak as he tries to take a jump shot (which is SOOO money). he's like one of those big tree dudes in lord of the rings.

- hey, look, the girl in the 1st row in our section has an atomic wedgie with her thong. awesome. oops, sorry, back to the greatest game in nba history...the garden was BUZZING from the get go. it's like every single play was the "dunk" by john starks. i came home looking to dvr this bad boy today b/c i was 100% convinced it was going to be an insta-classic on espn. ok, maybe not. oh man, this is brutal...the place was absolutely DEAD. nothing to cheer for. absolutely nothing.

- lebron james, amare stoudamire, dwight howard...pick 'em.

- boo bird were strong and mighty. there were three times they were ESPECIALLY loud. crowd was filing out early. i mean, this is what happened the 2nd half of last season. it's ONLY DECEMBER!!! it's only the SEVENTH HOME GAME!!! wow. i feel bad for us, i feel bad for them. times are tough.

there's really nothing else to say that hasn't already been said. i don't know if going after artest is a good thing. he is a wildcard. you can get a really good player here or you can get somebody that will f ck it all up (you know, going from .286 winning percentage to .125). and you CAN NOT put him and steph on the same court. it's a recipe for disaster and i don't know if i want artest around frye. it's a dicey proposition with him. i would prefer moving steph, getting a pick or two in return, with a solid player. my ideal move would be steph for bibby but that's neither here nor there. and it was never a talent issue with steph...it was a leadership one. and he isn't one.

another question, why can't david lee get out of his joseph aboud yet mr. petco can get 7 minutes in his first day in a jersey? very interesting. is it b/c david's white? is larry brown anti-gentile?!?!!?

anyway, i'm tired, this team is in a bad place, and there's nothing else to say. bah humbug.

btw, i see alot of people blaming larry brown. i disagree with that. is he kind of taking away some things from our players? yes he is...BUT HE HAS TO!!! crawford was a chucker...a chucker. and he has effectively stopped that and is now using him almost exclusively as a point guard. he is not allowed to shoot. no plays are drawn up for him. he is a point guard in lb's eyes and that's how he's using him. he had to be reigned in. nate robinson? he started b/c he wanted to see if he could run the point some with steph out there. experiment failed. nate is not a point. so he's back to the bench with crawford. i think he was reluctant to start frye and you see why, his defense is bad. his offense is butter but if curry is the big guy that's supposed to help him out on the defensive end, then it's a recipe for disaster. frye/curry starting frontcourt - two blowouts in a row. as soon as curry came back, lb has made it a point to get him the ball and get him established AT THE BEHEST of winning b/c he knows that curry has to get into shape and get involved if we're every going to be a legitimate winning team...not tomorrow vs. atlanta...but in 2007 vs. the pistons in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

and when it comes to steph, the first 21 games of this season has been an elaborate experiment by lb to effectively break down and DESTROY everything steph was. why? b/c the way he used to play would never lead and lift up a team. fish said something to me yesterday, "steph needs another guy out there so he could play the two man game". and therein lies the problem, "a two man game." sorry, but it's 5 people and if steph is not going to respond to lb, then he's gone. i think lb wants to see steph be completely humbled but to BOUNCE BACK FROM IT and BECOME the leader he wants him to be. but the body language by him has been taking him in the opposite direction...to the point where he doesn't care. it's a big test for steph and as of right now, he's failing.

isiah hired lb to partially save his own ass. he's already made one HUGE 4 year committment mistake with lenny. with phil and lb out there this summer, if he didn't come away with one of them, he would look like a fool. now he has to sit there and take it as lb doesn't give a damn who's on the roster, he's gonna do it his way...and the hiring of lb may one day cost isiah his job. the day is coming where he has to decide whether he's gonna trade steph or not...

All he has to be in LB's system is as good as Eric Snow.

^^yeah, he'll be as good as Eric Snow and we will suck. So, uh, Erick Snow is what we need to turn this thing around? FYI, Eric Snow was playing alongside AI, who will this modern day E. Snow be playing alongside? Nate? Q? Craw? Gimme a break.

Blinded by hate.
