I'd take any of those tough guys except Fortson.
The guy is a foul/technical machine.
Although he plays hard and with passion, the refs absolutely hate him.
I don't want that sorta bad ref karma around in crunch time of tight games.

This team will look completely different by Saturday. But I agree we need some toughness. Even if this Indiana trade goes down, we'll still have Penny OR AD left to make another move.

and between him and Curry we'd lead the league in techs and offensive fouls. The refs must really not like Curry either.

With the officiating the way it is, the toughness once valued has dimished. Not yet like the ticky tack penalties hockey has adopted but darn near closed. Merely touch your man and you'd better be looking over your shoulder at the ref to see the whistle blowing

Nate is like our guy who plays the toughest out there. he goes after loose balls and is not afraid to use his body. it appears as if Marbury and the rest of the gang are just mostly standing around waiting for something amazing to happen

Yeah, the foul calling is ridiculous. Not only does it slow the game down, making it unbearable to watch a full game (except the Knicks, of course) but it's terrible for the players. Basketball is all about rhythm and conitnuity. Players lose that when there's a 2 minute break in the action every 4 or 5 minutes.

The whole point of this rule was to increase offensive scoring. They forgot that most NBA players today are streak shooters. They have to get into a flow and stay in that flow. You can't do that when you hardly break a sweat due to the constant free throwing shooting.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Briggs let bring back JR Rider, and Bonzi Wells. Being tough and being not high scharacter guys are two different things. What has the three players you mentioned ever won. The one thing they guarsantee is controvery, suspensions, and a lot of technicals.

Its hard to be intimidating when you are living in Pine country. Ah well, I am not huge on James, though I don't believe he has played enough minutes to be able to make a judgment about him. I wish either he or Curry would get into shape.

thats a tough call because if you go back in nba history, a lot of tough players are big parts of big time teams. maybe i dont have the right names on there--i mean we cabn throw guys like dennis rodman rasheed bruce bowen etc.. right up there we lack a guy who has toughness kurt thomas had more toughness than any knick. someone made a point--nate got knocked down, no one came and shoved magliore. we could use atleast one tough guy-even former knicks oakley mason, starks mcdaniel,etc... far far far from choir boys. We dont even have charlie ward tough except nate
