Both Hayes and Jefferies have been semi-disappointments, and a player like Q is actually alot different than Hayes. Hayes is more well rounded (offense and defense) and if Q is right he is arguably the best shooter on that team.

Sorry, I don't usually do this, but here's my best guess of how Zeke intends this to go down. This trade gives Indiana $9 million in cap room for the summer (Atkins and Hardaway expire) and three good young pieces in Ariza, Jefferies and Butler. From the Knicks perspective, they can have Bender retire and come off the cap in a year and of course they get their man. Washington hates Jefferies for breaking plays and Atkins wants out and was showcased the last two games.

Due to Washington, New York, and Indiana being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Washington, New York, and Indiana had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I think it's gonna be something like that. I don't know about Penny or Butler being involved since I believe JJ is getting traded elsewhere.

I'm thinking the egg. Not sure what that means with Marbs. His attitude is atrocious. I think it's more of a habit now. He has a me against the world approach and that has always translated into poor body language. My thing is that for us to be a good team instead of the players letting this affect them I would like to see someone step up and take a leadership role so it minimizes the "Marbury effect".

what I mean with the chicken and the egg and marbs is that people say his demeanor comes from the losing and some say the losing comes from his demeanor, so I really wonder which was it at first. I am starting to think his demeanor leads to a lot of negativity which in turn leads to loses...

I think his demeanor is a natural by-product of being the most hated/berated player in the NBA. No one gets more bad press than him. Not even Ron-Ron.

tkf: gotcha. Yeah that's a tough one to answer. Probably have to go back to his College days to tell.

It's not an excuse. I don't think Marbs should hav ethat attitude at all but I agree that it has to be frustrating for a guy when everyone, everywhere blames you for everything.

He is brutal defensively against anybody who has quickness, has made a grand total of one move all season that has allowed him to get to the hoop (the spin the other night vs. the Bucks) & seems far more like the Suns version as opposed to the intense, rebounding Clippers version of Q.

yeah, that's what it sounds like. I think Larry and Zeke both agreed to take the first 20 games to find out what they had and what they need and that's why we saw pretty much every possible lineup take the floor in those games. we probably could have won a few more games, but this was probably a good way to find out quickly what we need.

I don't think that much of a turnover. A huge turnover like the one you are predicting would set us back at least 20 more games. By mentioning the players I did, only two of them really affect the lineup he is "STICKING TOO." At this point I don't believe many of the words that come out of Larry's mouth.
