I'm watching him now for the second time (I watched both recaps).

Only 7 minutes....but it don't take much to know this guy can play.

He is aggressive, looks to attack and he is a guy that seems hard on himself meaning that he goes hard and has that "****!" reaction when he knew he should have got that steal or rebound, etc. He especially has great size......height and weight.

I liked him already but I really like him now.

He looks to rebound. He showed he can put it on the floor and take his man.

7 minutes? Why bring it up?

Cuz everything Woods brought to the game when he came in changed the whole look of the Knicks......in 7 minutes.

Alot of times they passed around him because the teamates don't know his game but Woods was drawing alot of attention and was clapping and calling for the ball. Imagine if he can stick and earn minutes. The guy is exactly what the Knicks need at the 3.

I like woods too, if he can defend with his size, that would be a plus right there, not even mentioning his offensive skills..

he looked good but i respectfully submit that you're way overreacting. the game was well lost when he came in and several seasons and multiple teams suggest that while he possesses the ability that he showed last night he doesn't sustain it and wears out his welcome. i'm just saying.

Im glad someone made a comment about his play because I couldn't see the game and wanted to know how he played. For the little time he played sounds good. Larry seemed to like him because even for the 7 minutes he played he still talked about him. We obviously need a SF so if he can step up and get some significant playing time there it will be a plus.

Lets hope that after many tries, he can stick with a team and help it...

I think Woods is better than anything that we have been starting at the 3. Ariza is not a threat and Rose has no offense. Woods makes Ariza or Lee expandable. I'm leaning towards Ariza cause he hasn't really developed since last year nor produced this year. If Woods plays the kind of D that can at least get a few stops from the oppositions 3 he will really be an asset.

Given Larry's usage patterns, he is likely to get a fair amount of PT in the next few games to prove that he belongs in the rotation.

Why do people keep mentioning Lee along with Ariza? Lee isn't a SF, if he were he would've been already played there. Larry sees him as a PF and thats it. I don't think Lee has anything to do with what we do with the SF position...

I dont think its premature at all. I think QWoods could be in the catagory of RJefferson, Josh Howard, Igodala or TPrince. Nobody has ever questioned his talent. He's 24 and throws a 98 mph fastball. The problem is he's a scumbag and cant stay clean of drugs and the law.

Maybe he can grow up. Maybe he meets a strong woman, gets married and finds some stability in his life. Maybe he shoots at that woman when she's driving away in the his car and all his pot is in the glove box and shooting at the tires seemed like a good way to get her to stop and come back.

Woods did show some nice signs though, and he also played unselfishly, which was nice. He had some nice feeds.

I make no secret that I didn't want the Knicks to sign him. The Knicks didn't ask my opinion, however, so now he's a Knick.

What I noticed was that he seems very quick. He ran up and down the floor well and seemed very eager to show what he's capable of. I don't think he was out there long enough to judge his abilities though, and, of course, he's on his best behavior.

I hope his problems are behind him.

I didn't hear any of that stuff or hear the commentators refer to it--it wasn't in the press either...I think some people just imagined it.

Nope, you're wrong and djsunyc and Allanfan are both right. Here is exactly what happened. After Woods made his first shot as a Knick, a 3 from the corner, the announcer called out his name and afterwards they played that stupid ass "hoo, hoo hoo, hoo hoo" dog barking noise from the song "Who Let the Dogs Out." It was definitely awkward and inappropriate, and Breen and Clyde just ignored it. The next time Wood scored, on his dunk fastbreak dunk, they played that "yahoooo" sound clip from the yahoo.com commercials. I have a feeling that that's what they meant to play the first time and just made a mistake.
