My first week of practice a couple years ago was awful. We had a tournament where we were the favorites and lost the first two games by a combined total of 52 pts. They did nothing I asked. Plays weren't even close to what I asked. It was all one on one nonsense. I was notorious for making my team run after bad losses, but this time I was irate. My players were terrified all day. I walked into practice and promised the starters(with a smile on my face) not to worry that I wasn't going to make them run at all this week. I understood that they practiced hard and sometimes it was hard to follow what I was trying to teach. I then ran the subs into the ground for 5 days straight. Sprints/ suicides. I had to cut back because I didn't want to hurt anyone. They hated me. Noone knew what was going on. The starters played like crap and the subs were running? I even had parents complaining to me.

5 days later we had our next game and my five starters did not play. The subs played and we lost by 2 at the buzzer. Never seen 5 kids play that hard before. I was asked after the game why I didn't play my starters and I said "because when I make a promise I stick to it."

They learned to love to run.

I saw a professional coach make it a point to start every player in his hometown over the course of a season. That way their friends and family could come to grips with the fact that they weren't as good as they imagined and would finally accept the fact that we wouldn't be going to the NBA Finals any time soon.

We once had a coach whom a player was back home playing infront of his family and friends. Then he did not play him although he had one of the longest playing streaks in the NBA. Then they had words, and the player did not look at the GM in the eye oncec so he waived him after camp and paid him 20 million dollars.

Then like a year later, he signs a kid whom smokes dope and was arrested for cruetly to animals!

Look into the eyes of a dog and you will reveal their soul!

What about that one against the frontline of Jerome James, Antonio Davis and Malik Rose?
It would be a close match.

Raptor Coach Files Defamation Suit Against Knicks' Camby

Claims damage after published statement calling Carter a 'liar'

New York, April 23, 2000 -- On the eve of a NBA playoff series, Marcus Camby of the New York Knicks was sued for libel by his former coach, Butch Carter of the Toronto Raptors. The suit seeks damages for statements made by Camby in the New York Daily News accusing coach Butch Carter of being a "liar."

Carter, who was Camby's coach when Camby played for the Raptors, stated "He's a liar . . . I don't really like him. No one likes him and no one wants to play for him. That's the kind of guy he is. . . I don't trust him. I think a lot of guys don't trust him. He's just been ratting out people and doing things his way. From what I hear, a lot of people are made at him." The complaint seeks damages for mental anguish and loss of reputation.

It would be a close match.

Who would foul first Felton or Jerome? That's the million dollar question.

Who would be able to make a layup without getting blocked first? Malik or Clarence?

Who plays better with their thumbs taped to their palms? Antonio or Shandon.
