we're 6-12, 2.5 games back in the craplantic. and if you think about it...that's actually not too bad b/c 12 of those games have been on the road and 11 have been against the western conference. and of those 11, 8 have been on the road where we're 3-5, definitely better than last year.

the schedule has been brutal and we played without curry and james for a good stretch of it.

new coach, new players, new system...

the player going through the biggest adjustment seems to be marbury as he has had to completely change the way he plays offensively. he's been great for us on the defensive end, leaps and bounds better than i've ever seen from him. and i'm rooting for steph (despite what many may think) and it would be a GREAT story if in fact he could become the pg lb wants him to be. his criticisms are not unwarranted as he IS the face of the franchise and he IS paid like one. to his defense, lb has not helped him by starting him without craw and frye. but time will reveal all and i hope i'm proven wrong about his place with this team.

the biggest improvement has come from jamal as he's no longer the chucker extraordinaire. he's playing much more controlled and is now very reliable on that mid-range shot. his defense is getting better and he's developing this little knack of making some big shots in the 4th quarter. he's still a project but the signs are encouraging as he's pretty much a completely different player than last year.

frye has been this beacon of light so far. he may start taking a hit in his #'s as teams are now adjusting but this is where lb's coaching and frye's work ethic come into play.

curry needs to stay healthy.

we ARE looking better and you CAN see something building here. the old dogs need to go and that's where most of my impatience stems. seeing AD in that starting lineup really makes no sense to me...but i think those days are almost over. we're starting to get everyone back and hopefully Q will return with a new found motivation.

i willingly admit to not having the necessary patience needed through this process. as each game comes and goes, i think i tend to overanalyze what's really going on here, especially the little things. the general direction of the team is moving in the right direction and that's all we can ask for right now. a style of play is being established. a change in philosphy and mindset is being incorporated and at the end of the day, it's only been 18 games.

9 of the next 12 games are at home...finally. and on a grander scale, we're home 16 of the next 22 games.

if it's going to start clicking, this is the best time for it...

What would be nice is to see the Knicks start establishing an identity by winning most of these home games. Maybe they can win 7 if those 9 and 11 of 16. Hopefully in this process, we can see some more permanent rotations.

I think it's clear that Frye and Curry will be getting bigger and bigger minutes but I definitely think it's going to be a struggle for Channingin particular b/c kinda like Cano on the Yankees, he's going to struggle adjusting to the opponents adjusting to him. The league now knows he's probably for real, and he has to show what else he has, all while he has to improve his rebounding. I'm excited to see how this painting we've got will turn out by seasons end.

I have a lot of faith in Channing, and I think everyone on this board does too.

The Curry-Frye Combo is going to be awesome someday. Now we just need to get the rest of the roster set.

I agree you can def see something building here - the foundation is forming, but there is still a long way to go. I am much happier with the progress we have seen so far then under Layden/Chaney. Remember those dark days after Van Gundy left? We have come a long way - just a little more patience and soon we will be back in full force.

Nothing has occurred which has be regret the hiring of LB. And I'm still satisfied that Isiah had a superb year in the draft. I wish he'd have set us up with more and higher draft picks before trading so many, and before busting the budget, but whatcha gonna do.

teaching these guys some fundamentals and tweaking the roster here and there will go a long way. This isn't about this year, or even next, it's about the future. Need to keep developing our frontcourt and supplementing the backcourt.

We will get better, there's no doubt of that. How high our ceiling goes depends on Frye + Curry. Time will tell.
