There is no telling when the wheel of whimsy in Larry Brown's head will stop spinning, but as the Knicks' past and present collide Friday night in Phoenix, their future might finally be on full display.

If Brown sticks to form, Channing Frye and Eddy Curry will start together for the first time when the Knicks play the Phoenix Suns. Regardless of the outcome, it could be a historic moment in the evolution of the new-millennium Knicks.

Is it just because we're in Phoenix or is it because Larry actually wants to win games now? I hope the latter and hope this change is permanent.

Hmmm lets see. Larry didn't play Frye alot against Brand because he didn't want him to get overwhelmed playing an allstar caliber PF. Lets match him up against Marion instead and make Frye chase him around the perimeter.

I don't think we will see the Curry-Frye lineup start tonight, nor do I hope to see it (eventually I would like to though).

This is the future, but lets be real. Curry back now two games? So why the hurry?

If these guys tire and get in foul trouble, then they are not in the right mode for the 4th.

Its gonna happen, and its the future. I'd like to see it, but I want to see it right!

b/c our only other options are AD or Malik or Mo. Curry obviously showed last game that he's ready to continue starting and Frye showed from day 1 he was ready to start. We should have been giving 30 mpg to Curry and Frye from day 1. We'd probably be 1st in the Atlantic and 3rd in the east right now.

Did people forget where Frye went to college? Is it really coincidence that we are playing in Arizona and Frye may get the start? ^Edit: I didn't realize Phoenix was actually his hometown as well.

Wow - I didnt even realize they have never started together - but they have been on the court at the same time no?

It would be rediculous for Brown not to realize that Curry and Fry are the best front court duo we have. Dump it to the bigs and get to work is what I say.

hmmm good point. But every team in the league has to worry about guarding Marion. Frye will keep up with him better than AD will thats for sure. Unless we start Lee at PF but he's so rusty or Malik. This matchup thing is sometimes overrated just put ur best players out on the floor together and you'll win more games. Frye should have no problem shooting over Marion

Curry is shaping up. This is like his 4th game back I believe. He really struggled his first 2 games back as expected but you can tell from the Clipper game that he is ready since he dominated Kaman all game up until that last play where Kaman beat him. Larry pushed him to play a lot of minutes that game which is good because you want to build his stamina

I really hope that Woods gets some burn tonight !!

Marbs / Craw / Ariza / Woods / Frye vs.
Nash / JJ / Diaw / Marion / KT

Can you say run and gun ?? Ooops i forgot, LB isn't going for that !!
Isiah Thomas will lead us back to the playoffs in 2006 !!!

Thank God that Frye was born on a place that has an NBA team! We'll finally have a chance to see both of our best bigs starting and together! I think it was time to. Heck, what do we have to lose? Another game? Lets embrace the future now and start Frye and Curry every time we can...

So he should start in every home game! I'm beginning to like this bizarre policy of Larry's!

Frye also lived in New Hampshire until he was 7, when he moved to Phoenix.
