Nate is going to be a very good player once he gets enough experience and is developing quickly, but i can't help but remember how everyone was killing the Suns for their moves.....

Kurt Thomas is finding his stride, rebounds the last five games (19, 9, 16, 11, 13) and if and when they get Amare back they might be the best team in the west, and even the NBA with the way Marion is playing

James Jones who Isiah just missed is verstaile and a three point threat and comes cheaper than Q (who i am sorry to say has a terrible back and no real position, but our prays our with him) and is more efficient and tehy fleeced Atlanta who has the worst GM since scott layden in giving them DIAW who we should really look at as a future small foward.....

Not to mention adding Bell to provide some much needed perimeter defense....

Its upsetting to see a guy like Jerome James signed for so much money eating up years and a roster spot while watching all these bargains out there.....Gerald Wallace could have been had for the mid-level but Isiah rushed like he always does and makes panic moves.....

Why on earth would you go get Woods who is a dog abuser, drug user, and career loser.......Our boy needs to use his heads before he makes any more acquistions because there is talent out there at bargain prices that could make us a better team.....

I dont want to break isiah's cahones since he has the ship driving in the right direction. i do think he can look at what pheonix has done--and possibly stay clear of huge money deals like mo taylor etc.. where there is comparable, perhaps even muchbetter--- longer range prospects with similar/superior talents for a fraction of the price. I dont think Q Woods=isiah--he could possibly take credit for it if things go swell, but he already made it clear hes not the reason Q is here.

yeah, to be fair to Zeke, he went after James Jones. And, I mean, how perfect would James Jones have been for this roster? Absolutely perfect fit at SF for us. Oh well.

PHO got a little lucky that ATL overvalued Joe Johnson so much, but otherwise they did a hell of a job in the off season. I think Zeke is also doing a hell of a job, but one thing he hasn't done MUCH is get good pieces cheap. Though, Jackie Butler came pretty cheap and he's a very servicable player. It would have been nice if he could have targetted Gerald Wallace or won the James Jones sweepstakes, but it didn't work.

One thing on the Jerome James signing: Isiah didn't know the Curry situation was coming. The situation popped up in like the last week before the season and developed very quickly. He also couldn't just rely on Frye to play big minutes early. Obviously, he thought Frye could play 30 minutes a game and luckily for our season he has been able to do that well, but what if Frye came in and had major foul trouble? We'd need another big. The JJ signing was too much money and I would have much prefered Stephen Hunter and James Jones splitting the MLE, but sometimes you have to address a need.

listen to yourself. we got qyntel unguaranteed for the vets minimum. it doesn't get any more basement price than that. talent-wise, its much closer to jackie butler bang-for-your-buck than the original Q, or mo T. you call for IT to make cheap pickups, and then slam this one because of character? let's see what qyntel is made of before criticizing the choice. but in any case, who should we have picked up now to fill the roster spot?

i do think we need to cut out the egregious contracts to be a viable contender. JJ was a mistake at that price, and mo, malik, AD, and penny should probably mostly just walk. or retire. as for phoenix, you have to recognize how much better those guys play with nash. no one else has that effect on teammates (kidd used to). still, we do need to be much more careful with moves, wait for the appropriate deal and not just make one for the sake of making a splash. our roster is somewhat more settled now, and it seems larry has some say in personnel, which should mostly be a good thing.

Sorry if this is long but...

I will say this about Isiah and the big free agents he signed. I think they have potential in the right situation. I can't get mad at him with Craw (who has all-star like talent but doesn't have the BB IQ to match) or Curry (same with Craw and throw in weight and health issues). Mo Taylor I would throw in this category too. If Mo ever got his head on straight this guy could play near all star level, at times this season he would be considered the second best forward on this team. I am not buying what MS is selling though about Q. I think it has more to due with Brown anyway (and please people stop with this dog abuse stuff, you guys give Kidd props and the guy pleaded no contest to spouse abuse, there have been crimes worst than that and I fall into the category of people who value people lives more than those of animals. I don't like the JJ signing but I like JJ who I think will be better, alot better as the season goes along. I will give this Isiah, he was smart enough not to trade his #8 pick for Kwame Brown (god how many people on this forum pleaded to get this guy (myself included but not for the #8 pick) for the lottery pick. Bynum looks light years away from being anything serviceable (I would say Kwame was better along as a rookie) but I don't see anyone taking it to Cupcakes (Brown and Bynum's combined numbers look disgusting next to Frye). I can't kill Isiah for this team record to be honest, I could make a point that Herb would have more wins right now if he was still head coach. I guess that is also another area where you could kill Isiah is on his selection of coaches (I wanted Brown too but he maybe the wrong guy for this team). Also, I am still waiting for the Suns to make a statement in their conference. The Knicks beat the Blazers, we beat a bunch of young underachievers and malcontents, the Suns beat the Blazers without healthly players, we want to build statues to honor Pete. Kurt Thomas is now a bench player (when Isiah arrived here, he was the Knicks starting PF). I mean do we now want Wallace at his asking salary now because he shot the ball extremely well against us in one game. Is that how it works. I am disappointed but I am not that surprise with the record. This is why you can't rebuild in NY, fans aren't patient. My measuring stick is when Houston's contract comes off the book, dude still ranks as the second highest paid player this season.
I think Isiah shouldn't sign another or trade for another significant paid salary player until some of these contracts come off the book. That's why I against KG coming here but many are saying that trade is a no brainer. Patience is needed by everyone here, but I am getting frustrated with Brown's rotation choices during these games, and the fact that he has already start lying to the press about Frye starting these games. Kinda surprise that no one takes him to task about the lying aspect. Go figure NY media, they have their favorites, maybe Brown flashes his ring when they begin to question his moves, who knows. But I am enjoying the young players alot. So who knows.
