qyntel may be more skilled than trev and probably posseses just as much athleticism.

anybody think signing a guy like qyntel may be a sign that we'd be open to trading trev?

I see the Knicks making moves to make Marbs the oldest man on the roster. That is, unless we win the KG lottery and Minny takes our scrubs and remaining DPs for KG. I don't think anyone other than Frye has made himself indispensable at this time. I wouldn't expect them to move Ariza unless it is clear that he will make more than what we can offer him this coming summer.
You know I gonna spin wit it

Not at all! We have to first see how Qyntel, if really signed, fits into this team. He may be talented but there were reasons why he couldn't stay on an NBA team. Lets see if he is mature enough and focused on basketball enough to turn his potential into good play. Remember that once Isiah signs him, its up to Brown to play him, and we know how Larry takes a lot of time to trust young players. Ariza stays no matter what. In two months we'll see where we are...

I think the odds are that Woods won't stick.

when was it clear that we were not open to moving Ariza?

We moved Sweets who was the much better player of the 2, why not reezy in the right deal? Who wants him anyway?

I like that we're taking a flyer on a 24 year old instead of another in the parade of washed up forwards we've brought in over the last 5 or 6 years...

Why on earth would Ariza be untouchable in the first place where they wouldn't be open to trading him?

No one on a 5-12 team should be untouchable.

I wouldn't thinks so we already was thin at SF and now we still are thin, but with a more skilled player. Matt Barnes was good on defense and hustling, but that was about it.

I would love to trade Ariza, but people around the league are not nearly as impressed with him as some people on this board (shocking, I know). He's essentially a young kid who is very athletic, but can't defend on the ball, certainly can't dribble and has a low basketball IQ (see his pass Sunday in crunch time). We wouldn't even get a draft pick for him in return...

No way we move Ariza, Woods hasn't even proven himself yet.

I disagree that Ariza cannot defend on the ball. There is a reason why he has frequently gotten the nod to guard the other teams best offensive player. The fact is when you guard the other teams best offensive player, you get burned more often than not.

I don't think the Q Woods signing affects Ariza's status at all really. It is simply a shoring up of the small forward position. Isiah realizes the Ariza is a young player who isn't ready just yet.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Lets see QWood do some good and kick some ass before we dispense of Reezy or Rose.

He'll get an opportunity.

We really don't know how Isiah and larry really feel about Reezy and what his career projections are.

Rich - what odds?

Isiah said "this ain't charity" and hopefully Qyntel will get the message.

Qyntel will have a support system, including Jerome Williams, in his ear and that is a good thing. Larry Brown could turn out to be exactly the father figure Qyntel never had.

The Knicks have quality individuals on the bench and in the front office. I'd prefer to watch a positive story unfold instaed of expecting the worst.
