Again....we're talkin about doing something not only premeditated, but over a period of months, and doing so casually and uncaringly.

This is not just 1 act.

This is the type of thing you hear from serial killers......only this is with dogs, so the courts wouldn't hold it in the same light b/c animals have like zero rights.

You made your point about it being premeditated and for that being horrible. Ok, but what makes you think domestic violence and hitting a woman is just one act, casual, not done for months and doesn't turn into something premeditated in the long term? This really makes no sense because you can't really say which action is worse because both are just so wrong and none should happen no matter what. Again, the bottom line is that both are terrible actions, but but guys making them deserve a second chance if they really repent from what they did and move on...

CrashDMB237 - what else do you expect from a 20 year old one year removed from high school?

Whatever happened to patience?

Also, just a sidenote I forgot to add, this is just a contract through the end of the season, no multi-year deal like we foolishly gave Butler.

Not at all! That was a great signing by Isiah, and it had to be multi-year because it was done at the end of last season. We should actually worry about resigning him...

I have patience and I want Butler on the team because I see the potential. But he's been hurting us in games. Two clutch missed free throws on Detroit, one yesterday, blowing it on D leading to a wide open layup which put the nail in the coffin, stupid turnovers. I'm all for keeping Jackie, but keep him off the court during the game.

What about how Jackie Butler played in Detriot when the Knicks mounted their comeback from 20 points down?

I'm pretty sure Kidd didn't hit his wife for fun or sport and didn't place any bets on who the winner would be. There is something disgusting about having fun at the expense of the extreme suffering of another living thing.

yeah but beating your wife, now thats what a leader would do.

Butler is having the real chance to play now. He didn't even have a lot of it in summer league, and Im sure Larry has helped him somehow in his game. Butler was a good signing, even if he doesn't become a starter or anything close. He was a f/a signing, its a low risk/high reward with him and so far it has been all reward...

This has nothing to do with his right to earn a living. Get with the program man. This has to do with the type of PERSON we're bringing in. Who do you want us to become...the JailBlazers?

In Jason Kidd's case it wasn't.

But if it is, then yes, that's just as bad, or worse b/c what's stupider than harming another animal is harming your own species...

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Like I said, Jackie is good for a few plays, but other than that he's an NBDL starter, nothing more. I see Frank Williams written all over him. Everyone chooses to forget about the crappy play and only remembers the good.

Things happen For A Reason

Woods grew up fatherless and virtually penniless in South Memphis, a rundown and impoverished part of the city. Woods' father was murdered seven weeks after Woods was born. He is the middle child of three raised by Vanesia Woods with little money, but much love.

How much love and direction could Isiah Thomas and Larry Brown provide?

bobs- Who do you want us to become...the JailBlazers?

I want us to become a winning TEAM. The construction of which is not always a paint by number rotissiere strategy that most can only see from their couches.

Isiah and Larry will discuss the pros and cons of signing qyntel after they get a read on his talent AND personality.

Like I said, he's Frank Williams part two. Everyone ignores the bad defense, the stupid turnovers, the missed free throws and his weak low post game because he knows how to rebound and put the ball back up. How many of his points have actually come off of decent low post moves?

thought you were talking about Steph until you got to this point

because he knows how to rebound and put the ball back up.

He makes mistake but he is only 20 and still learning the pro game. Overall Jackie Blue is an effective player. I hope his role gets expanded. In the pre-season he showed a 15 footer and the ability to pass out of the post - something Curry and James are extremely inept at.
