If Jackie is "the best center we've got by far" why not start him next to Channing Frye and see what develops iin terms of chemistry?

who said that? I mean he had nice moments yesterday but the best?

Yesterdy was a good indication of how we are misusing Curry. If Curry was following guys to the basket and getting the ball from guards breaking down the D he would be wreaking havok. This dump it in and stand around for Curry to get hit with an offensive foul or throw up a jump hook is simply lame. Thats the best way Larry can come with using him?

Larry Brown said that about Jackie. Jackie certainly played the best yesterday. Curry needs to get healthy and learn the offense. Playing with AD, the turnover machine who allows Curry to get double-teamed for the entire offensive possession, however, is not a good way to get Curry going. Curry and Frye need to play together. This team won't get really good until they do.

thats LB sending Curry and JJ a message to get into shape because he will $15mm a year of salary and play an NBDL player if he has too.

Jackie is a nice big body off the bench. Ben Wallace and Brad Miller were undrafted and became all stars. Can JAckie? Its all about the work and dedication. He's got some skills... no doubt, and he's tough. Maybe he works himself into a stud. It would be a nice story for us.

that offensive rebound he grabbed on the Marbury miss, where he snatched it from the other side of the hoop was awesome. Jackie has some great skills and he keeps his head up on D. Worth keeping around. You don't find big bodies like that every day, especially not skilled ones.

Just remember no one heard of Anthony Mason (from Tennesee State) in college either

Had he accepted offers, Jackie Butler would be in the first semester of his sophomore year of college. Provided he continues to work hard, and there is little reason the think that he won't, he will only grow as a player and as a person.

I don't see any problem with that

What about jackie as trade fodder?

I love the kid, but he is third string.

Rose and Jackie for Harrington.

Frye/AD/mo.T/Lee

with all the HIGH salaried players that we have, I think LB is hesitating to use the players that deserve to play more. lets start playing guys who deserve it

I would say a big no thanks. Watch those Hawk games. There is a reason why the Hawks are looking to move him and not resign him. He never became what everyone thought he could be.

Frye and Butler do have the best +/- on/off court #s on the team. AD has one of the worst in the league. I'd much rather see them on the court than AD.

man, all I know is that every time I see Jackie play I like what I see. Soft hands, good nose for the ball, perfect demeanor. I like his touch around the basket a LOT.
