I thought they were nice too. Its fun to see the teams play in their throwbacks. Nothing beats golden states jersey with "the city" on the front.

I always thought that was a great uni! I guess its short for "the City by the bay"?

I could not figure out what the figure was on the shorts? Looked like some kind of "new amsterdam" man in his period clothes. Anybody see it up close?

I like the uni's alot, and the warmups. The simpleness of it and the simple "New York" especially on the warmups was great! I would like a grey replica of that warm up shirt! Other than Bernard, those 1990's bring me too many bad memories!

My wife noted that they seemed more tapered and just a bit over the knee. She said Marbury did not look all that stumpy and actually looked "tall"!

I do find that the baggy look makes these guys look less athletic. Im not saying bring back the skin tights, but maybe they need to think about marketing to women a bit more and lets face it, Sex appeal sells!

its better then the 80s one they wore last year with the big ugky number but I still hated it! The current jersey and late 90s jersey are perfect the way they are

Bring back the classic home white warmup jackets

Something is not quite right about wearing blue at home

I didn't see a closeup of that "Figure" but I kinda assumed it was "Father Knickerbocker?"

I hated the jerseys though. I liked the ones they were wearing sometimes, much better. A lot more stylish!

the Knicks uniforms worn during the Richie Guerin/Willlie Naulls era (right up to the first year of the Bill Bradley era) had the cool vents on the shorts and an authentic belt buckle. Now, THAT'S a throwback uni.

oh man, did you guys catch the comment Clyde made about the 'above the knee' shorts? Something like "Back in the day we wore shorter shorts because we had sexier legs man".

I was just looking at a NBA TV special with the players wearing those jerseys. That would be cool.

Yeah I caught that. I know he was trying to be funny but geez Clyde is living in a time warp. I guess he was so cool back then that he can get away with it now.

Clyde was the king of cool back in the day. Clyde looks pretty athletic in that picture. Looks like a basketball player!

Im old school that way.

No matter how you cut it those shorts are only sexy to those from that time. Again, yuck!

Its not sexy to a guy! The idea is to appeal to the opposite sex! Or those who prefer guys!

You prefer to see anna Kornikova in short shorts or baggy style NBA draws?

Maybe our female readers might lend a hand here and explain.

The logo they used on the shorts was the original knicks logo

The original Knicks logo, used from the inaugural 1946-47 season through 1963-64, was that of a Father Knickerbocker figure dribbling a basketball, the brainchild of famed sports cartoonist Willard Mullin of the New York World-Telegram. - nyknicks.com
