i looked at the FA market--its barren, inless they think Big Dog can still go. Sprewell is the ONLY impact player

Briggs - I'm not convinced Sprewell is an impact player at this point. It will take him a while to round into shape and who knows what he'll be able to do even then. I'd just as soon avoid him. He's not the long term answer and short-term I think he's more trouble then he's worth.

when is spree going to get signed? Is it a matter of a contender having on of their pieces go down with injury?

Its really ashame that Spree burned his bridges- I know he would be a better option at the 2/3 than Q- and he can actually defend on the perimeter.

right now sprewell cares more about money than winning, he'll sign for whatever team pays him the most.

NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.

I would have to agree! I was thinking about Spree yesterday during Kids day! No way Thomas would ever bring him back after his tirade!

But he is exactly what we need short term.

If it was vince mchmahon[sp] from the wwf, he probably wouldnt give a crp. But 98% of others would.
yeah, it's hard to think that someone would spew venom directly at the owner and the guys signs a check for him again. I wouldnt do it. Its probably big dog, i cant see anyone else.

If it's a pure basketball decision, all issues aside, it might be possible, but I don't know if I want Sprewell around the the youngins (Very bad influence) and I just don't know if he's that good anymore. I mean, with the same team, Minny went from championship contender to crappy team, all in one year, and Sprewell was a huge reason. His game has declined drastically. To be honest, I don't want Big Dog or Sprewell, but if they came, I'd have to accept it. Signing Spree for maybe 1 year LLE, with a second year option would be a heck of a lot better than signing Jerome James for freaking 30 mm 5 years.

guys if i remember the story correctly it wasn't just dolan he was woofing at it was his wife sitting right next to him and spree was supposedly vile as hell. what possible owner except for george steinbrenner and his sick need for billy martin would ever hire someone again after that??
