I think if LB and Isiah want something, no matter how much Dolan doesn't like it, they get it. Another possibility I just thought of:

Jay Williams
he cant play yet

Are you sure Briggs? I thought I read somewhere not long ago that he was ready to come back and start trying out for teams again. He's from the metro area too...

Pretty sure I read that he felt he still wasn't ready and was back to rehabbing. Though perhaps this is a long term move, like to nab him now in the hopes of his readiness next year?

I honestly have no idea. I'm with BRIGGS though... its either Spree or Big Dog. Anyone else really isn't worth anymore than Matt Barnes was to this team so it will hardly matter.

Sprewell would never play fo the vets minimum. but it is fun to speculate, so far out of all the choices I like jay williams the best even though i recently read that he is still rehabbing in LA. even if he isnt fully recovered I for one thing the knicks greatest problem is that we dont have a true PG.

He didn't attend any training camps because he said he wanted to continue rehab a few more months...well, it's been a few months...

He's a great floor general though Briggs. Granted he might not be a pass-first PG, he's a damn good floor general and the Knicks desperately need someone who Larry can trust with the ball and keep the team organized which is something J-Will can bring.

It'll be a 3, hopefully one that requires the other team's attention on defense.

Maybe. I just think if we sign him it's for later, and I get the sense that this move, if there is one, would be for now.

There was a Jermaine Jackson sighting recently, I hope it's not something stupid like that.

Yeah I heard the same think, but Jermain Jackson sucks, even though he isnt a pure PG I would rather have marbury running the point that him he didnt seem to do much of anything last season except bring the ball upcourt. crap the suspense is tearing me to peices

Wally's overpaid but some consistent perimeter shooting would do this club a world of good.

The Post mentioned Tim Thomas if he gets waived. Possible.

I may be wrong, but I think the papers are just speculating that PGs are so important to Brown and that the Stephon situation has been so troublesome that it has to be a PG. But the fact that they waved Barnes and his depature leaves us even thinner than befrore, I would really hope that its a SF in return. We need an SF that can become a scoring option out there as well as bring at least something on D...

The problem is that there aren't any of those types of SF's in the Free-Agent market. I don't think Larry would want to take a chance on someone from the D-league or CBA either.
