Pistons And Knicks Make Offers For KG
4th December, 2005 - 1:05 pm
LA Times - An ESPN Insider said that despite the Pistons' heated denials, they'd offered Rasheed Wallace and Darko Milicic, and that the Knicks had offered the expiring contracts of Antonio Davis and Penny Hardaway, but that Garnett wanted to be a Knick and even made "back-channel" overtures.
"I would bet money," the Insider source said, "he will be wearing a Knicks' uniform by the end of February." [READ]

Do you really think KG said he wanted to be a KNick ??? wow
Isiah Thomas will lead us back to the playoffs in 2006 !!!

Everyone on Realgm is acting like this is news.

It was reported like 3 weeks ago.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

The trade rumors are old, but the thing about Garnett wanting to be a Knick is new to me at least. You always have to be skeptical of these rumors, but I'm crossing my fingers that there is some truth to this.

Successful Scenario
Due to New York and Minnesota being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York and Minnesota had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

They get expiring contracts, youth and i center in return !!

Silverfuel my patience has grown thin with Curry !! That is why i think he will be traded to get KG due to Frye being toooooo valuable to give up !! Besides we still have JJ at the center !!

KG is dy--no--mite...but lets keep the young kids flying to Minny to a minimum. AD and Penny gives Minny something nobody else can... cap room. Toss in Ariza or Lee and call it a deal. I don't think any other team would take Curry at this point. Nor would I pass on the Curry/Frye/KG front court if I don't have to. Curry does nothing for Minny except give them less cap room. I will toss in first round picks if necessary, but we don't have much to give in that sense. This KG idea is a spin on a thus far terrible season that gives me hope yet.
This is the Randle.

I agree its not the greatest idea but chill out man. It's one thing to disagree but you don't have to go off on a rant about Ong Bok. Geez.

Well, if it gets him to stop posting these outrageous trade ideas, than so be it!.

It is the dumbest idea, I have seen, I mean come on, NO way would this trade even be thought of by any person with any common sense or knowledge of basketball.

Are you even a fan? Curry,Lee,Robinson, and Ariza? Gut your youth, then your rebuilding in five years again.

I think its valid to post this scenario- I would never do it- its just proof that a deal for KG could be down.

This is a long way from before isiah when there was hardly anyone on our roster that anyone would want.

I believe isiah would trade for KG if he thought the price was right.

It kinda doesn't make sense how the one with the more accurate and descriptive title gets locked.
