With the Knicks roster as it is, we're clearly showcasing our excess bigmen talent--- Once you remove Rose/Taylor/Antonio Davis/James from the mix, we'll have a clearer idea of the 2nd half rotation. Curry has shown flashes of brilliance-- but who knows how much his improvement over the course of the season will affect Frye's numbers.
To Frye's credit... he's a very efficient scorer. He's a high percentage shooter, and takes a lot (and makes a lot) of free throws. The other day, it only took him 13 shots to score 25 points. When you score like that, it leaves a lot of room for others to excel.
I think the rebounding will come with time, but as far as this season goes, maybe he won't be become a dominant rebounder... This is an element to his game that he'll have to learn. He's taller, quicker, and more athletic than most of his opponents, but it might take some time for him to develop this part of his game. Beefier, smaller players are able to beat him to the position. Perhaps to his credit, he's been boxing out like a pro, but no other big man on the Knicks has established himself as a top rebounder either.
