I think he can if he keeps up the numbers. I'd say points per game by the all star break will be 17-19. What d you all think? I'd love to see him representing NY at the All-Star Game. We shall see. If not All-Star, then Rookies vs. Sophmores Challenge, that's pretty much a worthless game...I can see him winning Rookie MVP. What do you all think?

no
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

if Lebron and Melo didn't make it their rookie year, no way Frye is.

The competition was a thousand times more difficult at SG in the east than at PF/C. The Knicks would have to have a much better record than they have now and Frye will have to get around 35 mpg to put up good enough stats to make the team.

No way. That being said, the play of the big men in the East have been very disappointing. The only thing I don't want to see that Frye gets bump because he is a rookie. I don't want to see C-Webb get it because he is C-Webb, and of course the Shaq votes.

Frye put up 18/8 as a starter while the Knicks went 2-1. If he starts and averages 18/8 for the rest of the 1st half and the Knicks are in 1st in the Atlantic, I think he has a shot.

Frye will make the all-star freshman squad along with Chris Paul and Charlie V from toronto.

The freshman team should have a nice squad battling the sophmores..

Don't get carried away. We don't win and his numbers are good but they aren't overwhelming. Plus he doesn't even get 6 boards a game. But he can shoot, no doubt.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

FEW players do get more than 6 boards in 26 min. Frye's not a bad rebounder; just an inconsistent one.

Maybe he can lead us out of Iraq, cure cancer and win a noble peace prize!

What a rookie!

the reason frye even has a chance for the all star game is that there just aren't many quality bigs.

Now, they might just go with smaller forwards-
