i'm down here in boca raton til tuesday and managed to get tickets for your su york knicks vs. the miami heat and here's a quick recap...

- the miami arena is like the continental airlines arena...doo doo. it's in a bad part of town and the signs on the highway are AWFUL. there are two lots around it (for non VIP members) and it stinks. just a very poorly organized area. inside the arena is laid out like netropolitan stadium. one tier really and it's steep. aside from the heat dancers (who are noticeably better looking than the knicks chicks), they had a group of old lady dancers. i guess to appeal the other 50% demographic in miami...the 65+ crowd. we sat midcourt, first row, in the first tier. decent seats with a $45 ticket price. (it's comparable to the first row of the 300's in the garden). had a very good view and opposite the tv angle.

- sitting in front row were fat joe and brandy. at one point she was trying to holla at q but he saw her, paid her no mind, and turned his back. take that hooch!!!

- not as many knicks fans there as they used to be. i only saw maybe a total of 10 knick jerseys.

- on to the game...we got our ass's handed to us. it's VERY sad and upsetting that if frye doesn't hit his jumpers, we're cooked. he missed a bunch in the late 1st quarter and in the 2nd...and that's where miami built their lead. we couldn't score or do ANYTHING. combine that with them hitting every wide open three (ala charlotte) and zo continuing his defensive player of the year bid, it was OVER early.

- props to frye for trying to take it right at zo. i mean he's going to be on every highlight reel from now till eternity as one of the wickedest block shots in nba history but at least he went hard at it. they replayed it about 5 times in succession on the screen and the crowd went crazy each time. hey, he's their patrick.

- crowd was into nate throughout the entire game and went "ooooooooooooooooooooooh-haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah" (just like the poster) after his dunk.

- we are a bad team. regardless of where we are in terms of developing or where we may end up being, RIGHT NOW, we are a bad team. we are mentally weak and can not handle adversity well. it's been a VERY tough stretch for us as we have not been home for a good stretch but we just looked like a D-III team going up against duke. not good. i'm not sure what's going on with craw but EVERYTHING we set up for him on the trip has been non-existant. that little curl play where he was knocking down those midrange jumpers like water...where is it? we haven't run it once in the past 3-4 games. what happened to split duty at the point? remember the 2 guards, 2 forwards, 1 center mantra from lb? where is it? nate showed saturday that he's better playing off the ball yet lb lets him run point and not craw. just b/c he's small, doesn't mean he can't play off guard. plus his minutes are all over the place as is his place in the rotation. he was finding his niche and becoming our rip (if you will) but all those plays were taken away. lee is now officially the 12th man and will probably end up inactive when the big game comes back. ariza has taken about 2 steps back. he is not playing with confidence (the theme for the team) and is struggling as we are not allowed to run yet.

- q...where art thou? how long does he get a pass? 20 games? 30 games? he looked his best all season in terms of on-court movement but damn if he still ain't giving us jack. and he's SLOW. i was really watching him run up and down and he's laboring. if it's his hamstring still, then shut him down as he really didn't deserve to start in game 1, nor does he deserve to start now.

- not having curry or james is KILLING us, especially in this part of our development...but at the end of the day, a loss is a loss is a loss and they keep adding up and it's the W's and L's determine if we make the playoffs or not, not our development or how we looked achieving or underachieving them. despite what some of you say, not making the playoffs is an unmitigated DISASTER. we lose our pick (unprotected) and maybe the spurs pick. $125 mil and NOT making the playoffs gets people fired. i don't know if it'll be isiah, assistant coaches, players, or even people that work for the garden BUT people will lose jobs...and that's NEVER a good thing.

- so far, in the last 12.5 quarters, only 2.5 of them have been good (2nd half vs. philly) - EVERY OTHER quarter has been downright dispicable in ALL aspects. is there anything positive you can take from tonight's game? anything at all? but what can we do other than grin and bear it and hope it all works out in the end. doesn't mean we can't b tch and moan about here tho in the interim.

- on a side note, being a knick's fan is like being in an abusive relationship. you watch and cheer for this team only to get dissapointed and treated like crap. i have season tickets, so i PAY for this sh t. in turn, the suits just laugh as they cash my check and chuckle as i rip my hair out of my head watching them play. we keep giving them one more chance hoping that they were the nice person you fell in love with in the first place...and everytime they F us over...we give them one more chance again. calgon...TAKE ME AWAY!!!

antonio davis sucks, i mean he just plain sucks. it seems like no matter how many minutes he plays, he can never break the 4 point barrier, once again david lee has put up just as many rebounds and even MORE points than davis despite have played less than half as many minutes(I know david lee was up against second unit guys, but he ljust ooks like and always has looks like the more active player). although Ill bet davis will be in the starting lineup tommorow cuase larry brown doesnt ever seem to learn anything from what happens in the games. he just does the same starting lineup, and rotation over and over again regardless of who plays well and who doesn't.
