Too early. If/when Bogut gets going, he's a true low post center. Frye, as you can see is more of a high post, shooting F/C. But I love Frye's effort on D and his smart/heady play.

But, hey, maybe Zeke doesn't look like such an idiot for saying he'd take Frye no.1 overall now. I think most of us understand that New York athletes have more pressure on them than some other teams. Frye is a guy who seems to LIKE that pressure instead of shrink from it.

Things could certainly change. However, ignoring team needs, my draft order knowing what we know right now would be Paul, Charlie, V, Frye, and Bogut

I would take Frye over Charlie V. It would be a tough call between Bogut and Frye. But I really like Frye's mental makeup. This guy is a winner and competitor.

What about Bill Laimbeer with less of psychotic mean streak? He sets those big picks and he's got that dead-eye jumper from the top of the key. I still say Isiah is trying to build this team in the image of his late 80s Pistons.

Frye will look really nice next to Curry for the next few years, but if we didn't get Curry, I would've taken Bogut because he is more of a low-post player and a better rebounder/shotblocker, even if his stats don't reflect it yet.

Wait till Frye and Curry develop their chemistry, don't forget, Frye is still working out and will gain more strength as he develops. He's a supersmart player.

that's why I didn't like that trade for Magloire for them: it slows Boguts development too much. that team is going nowhere without Bogut being a major contributor. Also, Milwaukee might not make the playoffs, the East is tight and has 10 or 11 teams who could make the playoffs. If they miss the playoffs, to my knowledge, that lotto pick still goes to New Orleans.

Bogut can't get going against stronger post players. I like the fact that he recognizes double teams. I don't think he is a better shotblocker than Frye because in the NBA athlethism plays more of a part. He is a better rebounder much like Lee is. I will say this about Bogut though, he would have trouble if he didn't play with a shooter of Redd quality though. He seems slower than he was in college. TJ is perfect for him though.

Bogut has been playing with a broken nose. This has slowed him down a bit, as you might expect.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Just after the draft, Isaiah was reported as saying that we got the best center in the draft. Frye and Bogut each have their advantages, but we certainly got better value considering where we drafted. From what we've seen so far, I'd say Frye should gone in the top 3 or 4.

The key to Frye's development as a player is how he adjusts to teams double teaming and/or making other adjustments to keep the ball out of Frye's hands, LB has to work on this as so that Frye can further develop his play.

Charlie V's putting up similar #s but he is 2 years younger and more versatile. He can hit 3s and can put the ball on the floor. I love Frye (and V wasn't even available at #8 anyway) but Charlie V has a higher ceiling IMO.

i dont think its so farfetched to believe that Frye could develop a consistent 3pt shot.

Why is everyone comparing him to Sheed?

I know the numbers look similar, but stats only tell like 25 % of the story.

Sheed can/could put the ball on the floor, hit the 3, and had an actual post game.

Frye has a very limited post game right now, can't create for himself, and can't hit the 3 yet.

It's not farfetched, but it's not realistic yet either...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I don't want Frye to develop a 3. The only real real big men that have the right to be shooting 3s are Dirk, Rasheed, and I think I'm missing one other guy, but forget who right now. Frye should be doing exactly what he is now. And he does too have plenty of a post game and he finishes about 50X better than Curry. As a matter of fact, at this point, Frye is the better player than Curry. He makes his teammates better with his pick setting and even his passing. If you say he can't create his own shot, you haven't been watching my man.

What he DOES need to do is assert himself more so he can be put in the position to create his own shot. Someone said he was demanding the ball like crazy yesterday. If he was, it was ever so unnoticeable.
