My digi camera is charging as we speak, so I will have pics posted and post game analysis from yours truely:

Knicks record with me attending their games: 10-2. This is the first of 7 games I'll be going to this season!

First time seeing Channing Frye, Q-Rich, Nate Rob, Davis Lee, Allen Iverson and yours and my favorite, Big Gay Jerome James, in person. I was looking foward to seeing Sam I Am Dalermbert, but that will have to wait another season, I guess.

Maybe I'll run into djsunyc

just curious -

is it worth buying ticket bundles?
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Nice. I had the dubious distinction of attending our disgraceful blowout losses to Boston and Dallas last season. Don't worry, I ain't going back any time soon.

There's gotta be a catch...Did you go to games only in the mid 90s? Or are you presenting the record in the atypical L-W format?

OK, I have a whooooooooooole lot to say, and I will begin with Channing Frye:

In the first half, he and a little of Malik were the 2 who actually played well and like they gave a darn. The rest of the team played like absolute garbage and it was embarrassing.

But then the second half came, he didn't get in foul trouble, and he started it all. His jumpshooting kept Dalembert and Hunter out of the paint (Which in the first half, we couldn't buy a layup b/c of them) and that just completely opened everything up. Then when he stopped scoring (Which leads to a little criticism) he was setting screens for Marbury, Nate and Crawford, and that started all of their scoring sprees. It seems like 80% of the buckets by them had something to do with Channing getting them open with his screens and even his passing. He is our best big man now, and he's crucial for our success. The others just have to play along with him.

On to that criticism I mentioned: The guy still HAS to assert himself in those closing minutes. Maybe we wouldn't have needed to go to overtime if he got more aggresive trying to post up against Dalembert. He's our best free throw shooter too now, so it's freaking important as hell that we feature him in the post.

Richardson was brutal to watch. Ugh.

Crawford and Nate: Both played GREAT in the second half. Crawford was hitting those midrange shots he's so good at and Nate played like a lion fighting for his pride. Both ends they played real good might I add.

I think for now, it's better that we keep Marbury, b/c I think all these young guys need a wing to ride on during these pressure moments, while still learning and getting their feet wet. He really takes over when it's needed, and that's important. He was vital to this victory.

Ohh, I was pleasantly surprised to see Dalembert was back. He's gonna have a good season. He clearly makes an immediate presence. He was rusty though, and his offensive skills are still very raw.

C-Webb and Iverson click well together and they haven't lost a beat.

Overall, this was one of the most exciting Knicks game I was at, but the first half was just so disgusting, I almost threw up. We have to do something about certain guys like Quentin. Also, I like Ariza a lot, but NO WAY he becomes close to Marion. He just doesn't have the skills that they've had since they were born.

yeah, totally agree about Frye and especially agree about that last part about Ariza. He's an amazing athlete, but he lacks some core basketball skills that just aren't getting any better. I'm not saying give up on him, but he can't be the only plan at SF. The idea that some team would offer him more than the MLE (which we could still match) is ridiculous. We should offer him a 5yr $15 million deal after the season.

So the Knicks are 11-2 with you at the Garden, huh? I guess we should chip in and buy you some season tix...

It's like I said. I really like Ariza a lot, and I see no reason for people to be saying "I give up on him." b/c he plays his butt off when he's in and he's so exciting. He's just not that good offensively, but his D is still solid and he can still improve that jumper and ball handling. He has to put extreme work in those, in order to become a real player in the league. He's NOT gifted, in terms of his skills, so he has to put in the extra work. I'm not comparing him to anyone anymore. I want to see how he improves.

Iverson, is over-rated, on one of his drives to the hoops he was throwing his elbows left and right to make contact, so he can go to the line, also during the course of the game he didn't seem very interested in what was going on, along with still taking bad shots.

I've seen Iverson live three times and was never really impressed. I mean, he's good, but he's on about the same level as Steph but shoots more, it seems. I was wondering if Larry's comment about Steph not being in the same league as AI was to rile up Steph. I think Stephon could easily put up AI's numbers if he took 25 shots a game. Maybe not the steals part. Iverson does have a better attitude on the court for the most part though.

Iveson is unstoppable, in a word. Hasn't lost a step.

Allan, Frye was calling for the ball most of the 4th quarter when he was in there. Crawford, Marbury and Robinson totally ignored him. He would set a pick position himself and nothing. Which must be ok with Brown because he didn't get on them. Can't see how you can critize a center for not getting the ball from his guards. I guess it could get ugly and be like a Shaq and Kobe thing but I think Frye doesn't have that pull yet but he should sucker punch Craw and Robinson in the gut. Great 4th quarter and OT for those guys but they ball hawked like crazy.
