According to Seven A. Smith Isiah offered the expiring contracts of Davis and Hardaway for KG, Wally, and Hudson. Doesn't work under the cap though. Davis and Hardaway for KG and Wally does. If Hudson is tossed in NYK has to send out more salary. Davis, Hardaway, and Taylor (who's deal expires after next season) for KG, Wally, and Hudson works under the cap. This must have been the offer. Which would explain why NYK doesn't just offer Portland Taylor for Patterson and Blake.
