if we get 2 #1's, swift (backup pf/c) and some cap relief - where do i sign?

btw, toronto wouldn't trade calderon for steph straight up...and neither would i otherwise i'd do:
jalen rose + mike james + #1 unprotected

i know it's not popular to start steph threads...but we need to turn the page and commit to the young guys and move in a new direction. steph is in his prime and those years are wasting away here.

but isiah won't trade him to toronto. so it will be minny, dallas, houston, or la (lakers or clippers).

steph for cassel and maggette?

What difference does it make at this point?

We're gonna end up being close to under the cap with or without Marbury by '07...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I highly doubt we ever are under the cap, although it should be a place we could get to if need be. My thinking is that money can be allocated somewhere else. With Larry Brown here, really, we have to change this thing over. We need a tougher team.

steph for cassel and maggette?

Does he have an expiring contract or something? If not than heeeeeeeeeeell no freaking way. He's a real good scorer, but his defense is terriblem he'd be terrible for the young guys, and he's just be a pain in the but for all concerned. I am interested in Magette Spaghetti however.

Probably not, but it will come to pass, that this wont work, it needs large changes. This team is so structurally flawed, so opposite of what brown usually has, it needs to be reconfigured into players that he can go with. Anytime a Knick player is out, like it doesnt happen to EVERY single team in any sport, that excuses--well, hes hurt, this is wrong, this that the other thing> the NEW NY KNICK fans and management like to use EXCUSES, not the old one's.

not for me to decide

there is 3 ways you look at this from a business perspective

a. stay the course and slowly add, hoping what you primarily have will mesh

b. continue to throw money at it

c. cut and run

there is no shame in business to admit mistake, in fact it's a valuable human tool.

most if not all of these players were acquired priror to LB getting here

go back and look at LB's rosters--they change over every time--what type of player does he primarily have? they are tough players, many with good size ad or athletsicm--combination.

It's Not Larry's fault that he has this roster and Isiah may have had a different thought process, not knowing who would coach.

So my opinion is to cut and run with the exception of Frye, Curry and MAYBE Crawford.

No more 6-4 PF's no undersized draft picks--not because Lee or Nate are bad players, but certainly they don't FIT into LB's type of style. No Mo taylor's Penny's Jerome James's Q-Rich

go get a luther head a tough guy, get some picks from houston, they are desperate and marbury could save them with T mac--it would be nice for Mabrury to finally be paired with some superstars--take some contract back and a few enders and then build the house up again 1 by 1 with tough athletic fundamental players with size who can play both ways.

quickie about joe dumars--now I think he's the best GM bar none or atleast tied with the dudes from SA and Pheonix. He drafted Rodney white 8 or 9--I think it was one of his first personell decisions--what did he do before season 1 was over--and remember the pistons were in shambles--he cut and ran--he made a mistake, acknowledged it and removed it.

these guys have to sit down and say to larry can you win with these guys or do we cut and run. if larry says cut and run you do it.

it ain't but the pistons are a tough defensive minded team...and so are the spurs. so it's still the right formula unless you have shaq + kobe or mj + pippen.

Briggs, again , a player has a nice game and your thinking how we get him? Your also suggesting we trade 2 players and recieve 4.

I think we need a block buster, but two minor deals.

Love it!
We have a good trade history with Houston, but do you think van gundy would take Marbury?

You could tell how tough those 3 Illinois guards were. Im just looking for young tough athletic skill guys and draft picks. We can do this, we may have to take two steps back here, but thats OK. I dont like what I have seen, it really is a mess. I dont see this thing coming together with this personell in 8 games or 80 more games. Just focus on tough players with skills and good size and we will get to where we want to be in 2-3 years. We have to much charmin on this team--soft as a baby's butttt with to many structural problems.

NO team wanted Eddie Curry--why the F did we give them so much--an UNPROTECTED 1--shouldve given them LEE. stupid stupid stupid and it will BITe us hard

i'd trade marbury for a 2nd rounder to get that awful salary off the books. Rebuild!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to leave something that's going to stand for a long timeI want to leave a legacy,I want to leave tradition.I want to leave an imprint,a blueprint in terms of how people play, and how they coach and how they respond when they put on the Knick uni.
Would you guys do this Marbury deal
