- but he says chances are most likely not going to happen.

- the knicks are willing to give up penny + AD in expiring contracts. they are willing to take back KG, wally, AND troy. it would save minny over $120 mil. that's their pitch.

- minny wants channing frye. frye is the ONE person isiah will not give up. he hasn't spoken to isiah yet but SAS thinks isiah believes frye has the potential to be looked at like KG or duncan over the next 3 years.

- SAS thinks frye could be good for 22/10 a night so maybe he can put up KG type #'s. it's not that farfetched.

- SAS doesn't believe getting KG will elevate the knicks to championship status so do you want to give up frye? he doesn't know.

- SAS doesn't know what he would do if the trade was proposed.

here's the thing...KG was not good enough to carry his team in the playoffs.
steph is not good enough to carry his team to the playoffs.

so pairing them up give you two really good players BUT are they good enough to win IN THE playoffs? can they make the big shots when historically, they haven't?

to me, that's what makes this so tough and why i am more along the lines of NOT moving frye for him.

Last year would you give up TT, Penny, and the no 8 for KG? Hell yeah!

I like Frye a lot! BUT!

Problem is SAS is right, we are not championship quailty yet.

Wolves ticket fans would have a riot if they gave up 120 mil and took nothing in return.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy the wolves? What are they worth? 300 million? With that you get the whole franchise. We can use them as a minor league team and draft picks! Maybe a 3 way can yield them a player in return.

KG is coming.

Ohhhh ok. That's very interesting, even Steven knows about it, it must be talked about pretty rampantly amongst NBA GM's. I think if KG knows this, he's going to push for the move even more and that'll put more pressure onto the T'Wolves to take a trade that DOES NOT include Channing.

I heard that too.

Getting KG would be great but it would not make us a championship contender right away. Having KG would make us even but in no way better than Miami, Indiana, or Detroit. And that's just the East.

The Spurs would still be better than us as well.

Don't give up Frye!!

I think a roster of Marbury, KG, Frye, Curry, Crawford, Q with Brown coaching makes the Knicks a top team in the East. I think the Knicks COULD beat any of those team in the playoffs with Garnett on the roster. I don't think any of them are that unbeatable. GET KG NOW!

Of course. but the issue was whether to take the risk by giving up Frye.

Who in their right mind wouldn't take Garnett for AD+Penny?

KG would not make the Knicks elite. Have you watched him play an actual game lately? He's not same player. Carrying the load solo in Minnie for the better part of 11 years has taken a heavy toll on his game.

Layden?

Layden would insist on Kandi (with a new 5 year extension tossed into the mix!).

maybe we can get KG without losing Frye after all. If Isiah pulls that off he's the man!

I am guessing if Wally and Troy are coming this way the Wolves would want Craw, Jackie, Lee or Ariza and Nate too.

I think Larry Brown is the key to this. He is the one coach that could make us a winner with KG, Stephon and Curry. Thats if we get KG. I dont think that is possible. Its just too good to be true.

Whatever, give them Craw (i'd rather they deal Q), Jackie, Lee and Ariza for KG. As long as we dont deal: Marbs (PG), Frye (PF), Curry (C), they can have anyone else. Seriously, KG would play SF and whoever can play SG. Maybe LB would let Marbury play SG then!
