will get his first start tonight and Curry wont play. Now you made fun of me with Malik starting, but I could see that happening tonight.

I could see Frye starting. I could also see him getting 30 pts.

I hope Channing can stay out of foul trouble against the starters. That is the only thing that I could see holding him back.

i'm thinking mo taylor and AD start with frye off the bench.
frye deserves it BUT it would suck if he starts and picks up 2 quick fouls.
so i think lb may wait on it...but on the flip side, i wouldn't be surprised if he does start as well.

it doesn't really matter b/c he's still going to get his 30 mins.
i'm more concerned that we don't go to him in the post enough.

He *IS* going to be featured more in the most. He's got a tough assignment in Okafor however! However, one way or the other, I think Malik Rose will start at small foward (If Q is still out) and it will either be Davis and Frye or Davis and Taylor starting. Jackie Butler will be seeing some more minutes tonight though, I am sure.

Is Curry definitely not playing? I hope we don't have the "young and exciting" starting frontcourt of Malik Rose, Mo Taylor, and Antonio Davis. I might barf

If the Knicks win and Channing has a good game off the bench, you'll be loving it.

Frye needs to play more than 20 minutes tonight.

But I'd prefer a loss with Lee and Channing as permanent starters getting 30 and 20 mpg nightly. It's the right direction for the long-term, which is more important than any one early regular season game.

I heard a sound bite from Brown after the game on Sunday that he will not overextend Frye. I don't know what that means. Is Frye not feeling that well?

Pharz...I think it means he doesn't want to put Frye into a position where he is expected to carry the team or be relied on too heavily.

He might be taking that approach with him.....but you gotta let the kid fly, you know. Let him do his thing and just stay in his ear. Frye seems like he is a humble dude and will listen and learn very fast.

Geez man....I can't wait till tonight. Hope he plays well. I know Sean May will be looking to prove himself. He is the complete opposite attitude wise as Channing.

i agree. Larry seems to like to start the veterans, although that in no way means the starter will get the most minutes at that position.
