How about we deal Crawford and Maurice Taylor for Theo Ratliff and Jarret Jack? Telfair is the point guard of the future in Portland and we could use a point guard. LB could groom Jack to be his kind of point guard. Crawford could play alongside Telfair. Portland might get the best of the deal early but we could make use of a shotblocker in Ratliff for some minutes and Taylor would be functional for them. I know some of you love Crawford but I am not one of them. He won't last with LB.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

I don't love him, but Jarret Jack didn't really do anything to impress me. We are giving away the better talent in this deal and I can't really see why? Who will replace Craws scoring?

Craw would be a good fit with them though.

Marbs could go over to the 2 like he wants if Jack works out. Richardson could also play some 2 and even Nate could play some 2.

Yeah but you miss the point. We give up the better players. If you could somehow add up the talent in this trade it would be like 50 to 30. Without a pick or something, I don't see why we should do it. What makes Jarret Jack a pg that LB likes?

Furthermore, Steph at the 2 isn't the answer. Steph playing like he did against the Blazers IS the answer. He is a pg, alloow him to create for himself and others.

Jack has a presence and toughness about him. There is a good chance he will turn into a good two way (offense/defense) point guard. You are also discounting Theo Ratliff. Ratliff flourished under Brown in Philly and had his best years. He is a poor man's Camby. We have no one like him on our roster now. We have no use for Mo Taylor and it will be addition by subtraction with him. And again, JC isn't the answer, cut bait the sooner the better, why delay the inevitable with him.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

I'm very reluctant to get any veteran frontcourt players because Larry will play them ahead of Frye and Lee even though Frye and Lee are better. I don't know much about Jack. However, I'd avoid this trade just to protect Larry from himself (i.e., his PT decision-making).

Mo and Craw could get something better than Theo and Jack. I watched Jack in college....he looked good but he just looked like a guy that was just better than who he was playing against. In two games against the Knicks....did anyone remember how he did to evaluate him?

Nate has to learn how to let the game flow rather than forcing the action but Nate is the better player in my opinion. Nate is the better rebounder and scorer. In time his play making will be more under control. No need to give up on him.....

Now Ariza..........you know how I feel about his tard looking scoring ability.

How do you guys feel about Sergei Monia? I'm impressed with this kid. He shows me some good signs. His jumper is silky smooth but he has showed a shotblocking ability and a little bit of rebounding and dunks too.

Jerome James can do what Ratliff does when he's in shape.

Why have 2 overpaid stiffs at backup Center?
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
