Jamal, as evidenced in his maturing game and confident dealings with the media. is growing into a role as a support scorer, whether starting or off the bench.

He's been a steady influence on Da Yoots and has also been called on to play backup point guard.

The next best surprise after Frye.

>All the changes have “actually been the hardest on Jamal Crawford,” adds the coach. “Because he starts one game -- then he comes off the bench. But we want him to take more advantage of things he’s capable of doing.” The gifted Crawford, of course, is capable of a lot of things, including being an extra-explosive scorer. “He’s going to be fine,” predicted Brown

Crawford can get more done than he has been. We have been a scoring starved team at times. he has stepped up at times, but his overall production must increase.

i'm glad he's doing well. people even on this board were quick to knock him because he was a little eratic at times. some even going as far as wanting him out. now larry is helping him get his head together in the game. the kid has got skills, AND he's not a fluck up.

Craw is just not shooting when he feels like it. Brown should get the credit......Since Brown has been here Craw has been attacking the rim. Alot of times when he would have chucked up a contested bomb now he dribbles to the foul line and takes a great shot.

He still needs to get that stupid hesitation dribble that he does out of his game.....he always uses that and a few between the leg dribbles to set up his jumper. I hate it, man.....it just drives me crazy.

(Now if only Brown can get a rotation down)

I love the Crawford is playing so far this year thanks to Larry. So much so that he's my favorite knick right now along with Frye. Why? because they are the most reliable scores. Not having a real superstar its nice seeing them deliver more often than not

I know I was, lol. He bounced back nicely after that turnover plagued game he had. Looking prety smooth and under control for the most part.

he's skilled, he works hard and he's coachable. He's a good personality also... easy to root for.

I dont mind his hesitation dribble. It prevents guys from d ing up on him it creates the space he needs to operate. But I agree about the between the legs stuff.

no shake-n-bake, no Jamal Crawford. It's who he is.

Y'all know my feelings about this kid. I'm totally excited about seeing him develop over the course of 1-2 years. He, along with Frye could definitely be the future el capitans.

I am very impressed with Craws game. He is buying in, and getting much easier looks on the outside, and very effective driving to the hoop and getting fouled! Much more effecient game!

crawford has definitely made the biggest adjustment on the team from a year ago.
he's totally dependable now on the mid-range and when his feet are set, that 3 is close to money.
his defense has improved alot also as he's making conscious effort.
for pete's sake man, TWICE this season he passed up an open three to take a dribble in to hit a mid-range shot.

he still has a LONG way to go...and we still are not utilizing his playmaking ability enough...but i think we will more as the season progresses.

I still think Crawford is the future PG for this team and Brown is just working him in slowly, trying to teach him bit by bit and not make him afraid. First, take away the chucker, than make him a deadly midrange guy, next make him a better decision maker on the outside and going to the basket, and finally start him at PG. Maybe next year he and Marb will totally make the switch.

when they play together they really share the roles. Either guard initiate the offense and both look to set the other up.

and the team plays better. The ball moves better and the bigs do a good job with the space those 2 create with penetration
