of taking nate robinson over jack? according to the rookie rankings jack is leading all rookies in assists/to, something larry brown would love to have backing up stephon marbury.

no point in drafting jack when we already had marbury. nate brings something COMPLETELY different to the table.

on the contrare, I think Nate plays a very similar style to marbury, only more aggressive and dicey.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

said it before and I'll say it again. Give lil nate some time and he'll have you all singing his praises before the year is out.

Huh??? Nate is supposed to be our backup PG. Jack would be a much better option at PG for us. What exactly is Nate bringing to the table that you don't think Jack can provide? And I'm not talking marketing, I'm talking about playing winning basketball.

or unless ur plannin on subbing marbury out. besides jack and marbury have basically teh same body type and attack the hoop very nicely. marbury could've taken jack under his wing. apparently jack knows how to pass and most importantly when to pass (LB would love it) since he's got a great assist/to ratio.

i don't think nate was brought in to be our full-time backup PG. i think he was brought in to be a high energy player off the bench that would play full court defense and just cause havoc out there - like a jyd at the pg spot. nate in college was more of a shooting guard, not a point guard. even in the summer league, he pretty much was scoring more than playmaking. and nate was a winner in college and had that football thing going for him. jack is a decent player but nate has the potential to make more of an impact for us with the minutes he gets. i'm thinking we were coming into the season with a steph/Q backcourt with jamal as the 3rd guard and nate giving us 10 mins or so in the meantime. at least, that's how i see it.

You guys are really riding Nate hard. He scored 14 the other night and he's been playing better basketball. Last night he grabbed as many rebounds as Kurt Thomas is averaging. Give em time

Nate, Marbs, and Craw won't ever be legit PG's. PG is a quality that requires a unique type of thinking. Marbs doesnt have it and Nate doesn't have it. All the athletic ability and all the practice in the world won't change how they play the game which is SG.

Nate can score points and grab rebounds but he won't be dishing out impact assists. Plus lets stop kidding ourselves, its hard as hell for someone 5 7 whatever to be good in the league and Nate will never get more than 24mpg.

Speaking of which, Islesfan, I remember a while back you said based on the media angle Nate is the FACE OF THE KNICKS. You told us to watch MSG that night and said it was obvious that Nate is the new face of the Knicks. Hmmmmm Still feel that way?

I still think Nate can be a huge part of a very effective second unit. A unit that plays full court press, traps and gets a lot of steals. Nate is still learning not to drive and shoot over taller people. I think LB gives him all those mins because he thinks Nate is worth investing time in. I dont think Nate was a mistake at all.
