if he can go 22-6-4 50% along with james, im interested again, baskteball players are a fuid market. i want to see him have a couple of more games like this first, especially if they throw in James and the mandatory Denver pick for taking on 19mm$

Jalen Rose scored 1/3 of his points on shooting free throws with a 10 point lead. That could have been anyone shooting those. Im not sure what you saw that was so impressive, but the guy is 6 8", got 4 rebounds, did nothing in the 4th as Bosh was keeping the team up.

Now James, different story. The way he is playing now, he'd be worth picking up the salary just to get him. Hit some real clutch three's tonight, against Wade. Very impressive.

But your first analysis of Rose last week was on the money... He's losing his first step, and he's getting jaded.

jalen rose is the SF version of Stephon Marbury...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I sure did. But if he can play like he did today for a couple of more, throw in mike james and that Denver pick, there is enough to change my mind:>) its only short term, but the league is wide open. Id rather have darius miles but its not happening. are we going to play with malik rose????

The Malik Rose thing was a matchup because of how he contained Miles in Portland when no one else on the Knicks could stop him. I think LB will go with a matchup at SF depending on who the other team has. Sometimes it will be Ariza, sometimes Rose, sometimes Q. Q was out today and they needed Rose's strength to keep Miles out of the paint.

I don't want Jalen, not if we have to give up Nate. I'd do Jalen for Penny straight up, but Toronto should give us a pick. Let them keep James and we keep Nate.

I'm not sure mixing up your starters game after game is a good thing to say the least. And penny for Jalan is a pipe dream, Hardaway doesn't even have stock at this point, and unless The Raptors are done by january, I don't see anything happening. To trade Penny -I would assume - one of the young guy's are going to have to be involve if you plan on getting anything remotely close to a star.

What is Jalan making these day's 14, 15 mill per, and he's not a LB type player, Can You really see this happing??

this is the way I look at it, if jalen just started slow, he shows me another game or two of 20-6-4, I would be willing to offer Toronto that particular trade. the Kbnics want to win now. With two picks[maybe] in the upcoming draft, we can walk away with a PG and either a big or a SF that makes sense to add to what we have. With Rose and James, we truly have a chance to win now, but the pick helps us replace the youth. I like Nate, I liked mike Sweetney, but I like the Knicks more:>)

there is risk in any trade. picking up james and a pick for nate and 19mm in cap room is more than fair and the only way I do it. i wouldnt trade for jalen straight up--this has as much to do with acquiring james as well.

I'd do that in a heartbeat just to get James and the pick, but do you think Toronto would do this? I highly doubt that they'd give up James (or Calderon or any other youngins)

It's beyond unreasonable to think we'll get the better player and draft picks just because we're taking one extra season of Rose. Why not just ask them to throw in Bosh and Villanueva?
