I'd do it. As you said Briggs, it would fill needs for both teams. You have to wonder if Sacramento is ready to make some more changes and get some different players in there. I wonder where the Kings stand on this.

Bibby's making $11.5 mil and Marbury's making $16.4 mil. You can't do the trade straight up. Sac does have players they could add to make the trade work, though. Marbury's the better player obviously. Even in a down year, he's putting up comparable #s to Bibby. When Briggs posted this, I assumed the trade would at least help us to get younger, but Bibby's only 9 months younger than Marbury. Bibby has played 7K fewer career min than Marbury. The min could take their toll on Marbury, I guess. I'm not really sure what this accomplishes for us, though. We don't get younger or more talented.

ya...... marbury for kobe matches too....

just b/c it matches doesn't mean it's anything more than a lateral move.

yes, bibby is less selfish than stephon, but they're the same ****ing player down to the T. (except Bibby is more clutch)

Idk, I'd rather give this team more time...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Ditto. We don't get younger or upgrade talent-wise in this trade. It seems more like a panic move to Marbury's slow start and the team's slow start. I'm not sure Sac would do the deal anyway.

It's really just a media soap opera. They'll CREATE a new soap opera if Marbury is traded.

Are you kidding me? This is exactly what Larry brown wants. Bibby don't play defense either.thing is bibby is a great passer in a motion offense and he is a good shooter. This is a Larry brown point guard. Sactown might do it cuz they are pretty much a different team these days.

I would rather stay but and just try to are who is availa ble come Feb. This could definately be an option.

I suppose bibby would fit in better in brown's system than marbury, but I still woudldnt do this trade. becuase one theres still a chance marbury can improve under brown, and 2 bibbys contract is just as long as marbury's, i dont think its a very good trade for us.

Successful Scenario
Due to New York and Sacramento being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York and Sacramento had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Trade ID
Every trade made by fans is allocated a unique Trade ID which you can share with friends and fellow basketball fans to allow them to see your trade scenario. The Trade ID for this scenario is 2646208.

im not advocating any trade, im just pointing out potential Marbury markets where we get serious value back. I dont know what they want to do with Marbury, I would personally put him at 2G right now and appease him.

Salaries: Marbury: 16,453,125, 18,281,250, 20,109,375, 21,937,500

Bibby: 11,500,000, 12,500,000, 13,500,000, 14, 500,000

Briggs, those are hardly matching salaries, the only thing similar are the yrs, and they are two different PG's, granted Biby would work better in LB's system!.

bibby's contract is much smaller, and he's younger.

would I do it -- IDK. That's about as close to equal talent as you're gonna get these days. but why would sactown do it?

marbury's a bit better on defense, but he's more selfish and less clutch, plus he comes with a bigger contract.

......

How do you know that, this is not an out of the question trade, Peja shown disappointment in the King's in the past, Q is not flourishing in NY, and Marbury would be better off in Sactown, and Bibby would be better in LB's system, and I threw Williamson since he has one yr, on his contract.

Besides this was one trade scenario, their are others that could include other players but I chose Q because he has something offer the King's rather than give them one of the kids.
