Successful Scenario
Due to New York and Seattle being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York and Seattle had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Seattle gets

C = Potapenko
PF = Collison
SF = Lewis
SG = Q
PG = Marbs

So its not like they don't get a great team in return !!

Slim you think that its a lopsided deal for NY ?? Granted Seattle is giving up Allen but they get Q and Marbs in return !! The other 2 are just salary fillers. I think your not giving Marbs and Q enough credit, we are not talking about Marbs & Q straight up for KG.

I Edited my post to make it less rude btw
yeah you do have a point, but still I dont think the sonics need nor want marbury enough to give up ray allen, even if q is attached especially if there also giving up fortson and radmonovic, I know vlad rad wants out of seattle but seattle could get better for him, thats what I think anyway

There is no way Seattle does this.

Allen >>> Marbury and Vald >>> Q
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

lets forget the starbury trade for a minute[and for the rest of the season as far as im concern]and try this trade for size:

fortson + brunson = butler + rose

why???????......seattle can't wait to get rid of fortson and malik rose would be a fair fit for seattle with butler sharing the duties with collison

brunson is the real point brown is looking for [forget watson]. brunson has already been to new york a couple of times and rick is new york ready....third time is a charm

fortson in new york should show curry the real meaning of foul trouble hence the learning curve for curry's inside game begins.

note due to trade restrictions, trade for brunson after 15 december is the order.

"Like they always say, New York is the Mecca of basketball,"I read that in Michael Jordan books my whole life and I played here in the Big East tournament, so it's always fun to play in the Mecca of basketball."---Rip Hamilton

no....its not viable.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
Is this viable ???
