i'm really liking the idea of watson and miles.

objective #1 - backup pg

jerome james + #2 (if we need to sweeten it) for earl watson


objective #2 - starting SF

penny + malik rose for dmiles + ratliff

lineup:

craw
steph
miles
frye
curry

earl/nate
Q
ariza
lee/AD
ratliff/butler

both of these have already been proposed but we're really not moving anyone of real value to us and we fill MAJOR needs long term at the cost of taking back ratliff for one extra year (07/08).

I don't think either team would bite. No one is taking JJ, that contract is the joke of the league. Portland values Miles too much right now, they're rebuilding sure, but he's only 24 and he's part of their plans.

I think we need to look elsewhere, though I would love those trades.

Anyone notice the season Miles is having??? They're not gonna give him up for cap space. You'd probably have to sweeten that deal by adding Frye and either Lee or Ariza. Miles is 22, playing like an all-star, and a complete five stat player.
