Brown has used Marbury as his primary defender on guys like Paul Pierce, Kobe Bryant, Jason Richardson, Vince Carter (in the pre) and other big wing players this season and Marbury has used his strength to keep them off the block (they almost always try to post up Marbury). It has been impressive. Kobe got 41, but Marbury made him hit a lot of bad shots to do it, and Marbury forced Kobe into several turnovers and many misses.

Anyone who says Marbury isn't a good defender isn't watching. He's guarding guys who have 30lbs and 4 or 5 inches on him and doing an admirable job. He's also played the opposing PGs very well.

Props to Brown for seeing this and to Marbs for going out and playing his ass off.

It should increase his trade value. (joking)
