There is a team or a couple teams who have a slow start to the season. But then have that one month or 2 months when they just click and make a huge run. Wade's rookie yr with Odom, Bulls last season they they did it really early after only 9games. Denver after they got George Karl, Grizzlies I think 2 yrs ago, Portland did it in Darius Miles contract yr. And im to lazy to give you guys statistical evidence so your going to have to go by my word. Word is bond.

Are the Knicks going to be one of the teams that do so this yr??
() this is that bandwagon and im on it, anyone else??

Define "click" and "huge run".

I think we'll play better in the second half season then the first. I think we'll click all the way to mediocrity. IOW .500, give or take 4 or so games. So, 37-45 wins.

I'm not really in it for the playoffs, or for this year at all.... so if we end on a high note, and some of our personnel issues sort themselves out, and our frontcourt look like studs and winners, all that will suit me just fine.

Clicks and runs are fine, but significant hope for a future that exceeds mediocrity, that's what I want this year to be about.

its a legit possibility because the Knicks (even in losses) are showing real signs of becoming a decent defensive team. When you guard your in every game. Good or bad the wins and losses will go as Steph goes. Look at last night. Even though we gave up almost 100 points we got a lot of stops down the stretch. Probably what hurt us the most was we were forcing them into a lot of jumpers but couldnt track down the long rebounds.

I do think we take advantage of Denver's problems up front and come home with a 3-3 road trip which is pretty good considering all the problems we have had.

If your saying we end at 37-45 then your not jumping on that bandwagon. Playoff exposure with all these young players on the roster is real good for them. I want to win as many games this yr as possible, and we will only do that with these young guys getting burn and producing. So im not worried about winning without these young players getting better. Just by practicing under Brown they will get better.

Fish does that mean your on the bandwagon on no??

excpet for one 4-5 minute stretch, that was our worst game by far from start to finish. i felt like they were toying with us, kobe did whatever he wanted.

Don't bring back the nightmares! Kobe really was toying with us, it was hard to watch becuase like almost every single team in this league we had absolutely no means of stopping him. The best part of last nite was Mr. Frye, rebounds aside he has a good game, the rebounding will come.

Sorry NY, but what are you saying? Just how many wins are you predicting? How deep in the playoffs you going?

thats the point... we only lost by 5

Am I on the bandwagon? Whats that? I have said all along I like our young guys. Just because I think we CAN make the playoffs and turn things around doesnt mean I DO think we will.

I live and die with every loss. This is why I stink at the gamepicker. I always pick them to win. In fact I have them winning the next 4 until a loss at the Heat. I love the Knicks and these players. I'm not going to go around and say Frye is Duncan, Ariza is Marion and we are going deep into the playoffs. Seeing is believing. When these guys are playing winning ball and we have a good record I will "believe." Until then I just hope.

I think we are going in the right direction, and I dont care if we lose if Larry is playing the kids, because you can SEE them growing every minute they are on the floor. Thats what its all about this year IMO. Ive seen playoffs. WHoop de doo. I want to see a young star, or at least a core of young guys come up together that can one day become an elite team.

I think this team has a good shot at a turn around. the clicking point will be when Marbury learns what he is allowed to do and scores 20 within the flow of the game. this year hinges on Marbury "getting" it. If he doesn't I think he'll be gone over the summer or sometime next season.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we made the playoffs, I wouldn't be surprised if we had 20 losses under 5 pts and missed the playoffs either.

as for the worst loss of the season, I'd say that was Boston. I think THEY were toying with us. We played our best ball of the season in the second quarter. it's something to build.

My bad fellas. I didn't give a good job explaining myself.

Miami
It marked Stan Van Gundy’s debut as the head coach and began with a rocky 0-7 record, which only worsened as the young team struggled 5-15 at a point....

They also set an NBA best 17-4 record over the final 21 games and ended the season with a 42-40 record. The HEAT became the first team in NBA history to be 11 games under .500 during the month of March and finish the season with a winning record. This earned them respect and propelled them into their 9th playoffs appearance.

Denver Nuggets
19-25 first 3months, 30-8 the last 3months. That type of jump might be out of our reach though.

Blazers
7 games under .500 (17-24), the third worst record in the West. But in the months to come the Trail Blazers regained their thirst for victory and won seven of their next nine games and 12 of their next 17. They finished the second half of the season by going 24-17, a complete reversal of the first 41 games.

Im just wondering if anyone feels this team will be one of those teams that has a slow start, but has that great month or 2 which everything clicks and they have something LIKE a 20-8 or 18-7 or type run. I may have exagerated by saying every yr as I don't know if that is a fact, but the past few yrs there have been teams like that. Does anyone else have a gut feeling we are a team that does that this yr?? Thats all I was asking. Yea i'll jump on that bandwagon, I think we pull something like that off this yr. Nah, I don't think we got the pieces to make a run like that. Thats all I was looking for.

I think they will play .500 ball. I also think they'll have a strong 2nd half of the season because it's obvious to anyone that we've got talent on the floor. It's also obvious that that talent is becoming more cohesive as a team...right in front of our eyes.

Kobe toying with us That guy is the biggest chucker in the NBA. 25 foot leaners and wild ass spin moves with not much effort to involve his teamates. 18 shots...I repeat, 18 shots in the first half alone. CHUCKER. That guy has all of the talent in the world but he's the most overated and overhyped player of the last 10 years. CHUCKER....who does he think he is, MJ. Toying with us...yeah right VC is much better than this guy. VC shoots with range and is a much better passer that looks for his teamates and that's without Shaq in the paint. It's plain to see.

We'll play .500 ball this year and have a very strong effort doing the second half of the season.

I think they will click by December, and from there on out win the games against the weak teams and compete right to the end against most other teams. By the deadline, we will see if any upgrades or drafts pick deals become available in return for Penny, AD, MoT, or even Rose. If we do upgrade, we will be dangerous for the second half of the season. Even without an upgrade there are very good signs... It just depends on how well they 'get it'.
