I'd probably do it. Granger would be able to step in at the 3 and provide some outside shooting.

Granger is a nice piece, but I don't think they'll give him up so quick with a guy named Ron Artest who may flip out and be banned from the league.

I haven't watched Bender, and I don't want Croshere.

I want rebounding or defense in any trade we make. I don't think this trade accomplishes that so I wouldn't be interested.

They would never do that trade, never. That would be a steal for us.

We'd have to send a team of Knick fans down there to drug Larry Bird and Donnie Walsh. But really I doubt if they'll ever do a trade with Isiah

Briggs now you sound like one of those "fans" on wfan who propose ridiculous trades. There is NO way indiana makes this trade. Lets get real.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

the whole thing is it doesnt change their team this year, really and gives them huge cap relief next year--under the salary cap--is it really a terrible offer? remember danny granger went pick #17 not pick 2 john bender is done and austin croshere is a bit piece.

Isiah would need pictures of Larry and Donnie doing some ungodly acts with farm animals for them to accept that deal.

They love Granger. It's not even a remote possibility that they trade him.

I look at it this way, Ron Artest plays F for the Pacers and he's not going anywhere. They get Ariza who has played better than Granger so far and Davis-for two guys that take up big cap space for the next 2 years
1 doesnt play 1 is a bit player. it gives them the ability to get a 10mm$ +free agent if need be next year, while really adding to their frontline--Davis+replacing Granger with ariza.

where does danny granger play with ron artest?

I don't think anyone who has watched Antonio Davis play this year would willingly trade for him. He's beyond awful.

edit: I mean trade for him as far as hoping he would help the team win. If they wanted cap relief, they'd do it. But I can't see a contending team taking him on thinking he would help the interior defense or something. He has nothing left in the tank.

If they lose another game like they did last night against Charlotte they might just start clearing house. If that happens to be the case we might be able to get Ron Ron. How about MO T and the spurs pick for Artest. That's a good deal and it helps their image and makes us the beast of the east

i'm sure we could have gotten #17 - problem is granger has had serious injuries in college and supposedly can't handle a season in the NBA.

It would have been interesting to know who he would have picked. I am not sure it is Granger.

Indiana would laugh at that proposal. Walsh is Granger's biggest fan and they haven't waited on Bender all this time to give up now.

I dont think Indiana is set to trade Danny Granger, even if he comes off the bench. Ron Artest is a ticking time bomb and could go off at any time and that makes Granger extremely good insurance. When he earns his playing time they will find a place for him in the starting lineup alongside Ronnie. I would gladly do that trade but I dont think theres a chance in the world that it gets done, aside from the fact that Bird and Isiah practically hate each other. Oh yeah, if you say Granger wont get any PT behind Artest then when is Ariza going to get PT behind Artest?

Let's get them to throw in Jermaine O'Neal! We can throw in Frank Williams still right?
