I agree about Shandon Anderson, we should try trade him for Ostertag or something. I wouldn't mind see Starks back here but I'd rather have Postell than him...

How about

KT/Anderson for Starks/Ostertag?

Don't even know if that works salarywise, but to get rid of SHandon's salary, they'd want some value in KT -

And we get a serviceable 7-footer and a veteran fan favorite -

I'd say Starks in limited situations is more valuable than Wingate or Herb, anyway! Even at the point, when you need a 3-point threat from 3 positions. I trust John in that situation more than Charlie or Howard. And LOCKER ROOM PRESENCE...Can't knock his competitive spirit. I'd bring him back before Oakley.

We aren't trying to reconstruct the New York Knicks circa 1993. All these moves are so ridiculous. Starks is terrible, he had trouble cracking the rotation in Utah. Ostertag is horrible, as is Ewing now. I mean, come on. Yeah, lets get Starks, Ewing, Oakley, then coax "Clyde" from the booth, he could play point. Come on, these haven't been rumored, they're ridiculous. It won't happen because it's stupid (the team would be terrible) and because it just hasn't been rumored. Knicks want a center, then they'll do the KT/Ward for VE deal, that'd be most realistic and make the most sense.

HEY AT LEAST WHEN SHANDON ANDERSON PLAYED IN THE FINALS, HE WAS DECENT V.S THE BULLS.. AS FOR STARKS, HE'S A KNOWNED CHUCKER WHO WILL ALWAYS BE REMEBERED FOR HIS 2FOR18 PERFORMANCE IN GAME 7 VS HOUSTON. LIKE I SAID, STARKS MAY HAVE HEART BUT HE WASN'T A SMART BASKETBALL PLAYER. OH!! DON'T FORGET HIM MISSING BOTH FREE THROWS IN THE SEMI CONFERENCE VS INDIANA IN 1995.. I'M SURE YOU KNICK FANS REMEMBER THAT GAME... REGGIE MILLER'S 2 3POINTER WITHIN 8SECONDS. KNICKS STILL COULD'VE TIED THE GAME BUT STARKS CHOKED ON THE LINE MISSING BOTH FREE THROWS...
The Future. GO KNICKS!

Ok, ok, ease up...

I was half-kidding about the Starks deal, because this thread was started SPECIFICALLY to talk about Starks...So let us have our fantasy fun! We also OVERVALUE Kurty...Not that I don't love him, but let's see what teams really want to give up for him at the end of the day...I suspect not much -

And OF COURSE I'd rather have NVE - But the bad rap everyone loves to give Starks for game 7 is only half-deserved. RILES is the guy who refused to run the perimeter offense through Harper, who was shooting great against Houston...

Riley is to blame as much as Starks. I refuse to let Pat off the hook. Johnny brought everything he had every night, even when it wasn't much. (Listening, Allan?)

And NO, I don't want the Knicks to turn back the clock to '93, but what the hell was WINGATE doing on the bench? Starks can do that and still WAVE A TOWEL, for crying out loud. And I'd still rather have him on the squad than Eisley's contract-

Cheers-

If you`re looking for a crunch time 3`s scorer, just take a look on former Heat Hardaway. Lost some quickness and agility but he`ll still contribute a lot more than Mark Jackson did. And it`s always nice to have an old nemesis in our team `cause sometimes you know your enemies better than you know your friends. Timmy is looking for a team and I`m sure he`s not on the chase for the big money. At least Frank will learn a lot from him. Just think about it...

I did it...Y'know, some days I'd rather have Hardaway and Starks than Ward and Eisley...providing they come cheaper, and don't demand more playing time from Williams, who we should defiinitely groom...

Yes they should definately keep Williams and give him a lot of playing time. Maybe Chaney will give rookies a chance.... unlike JVG.
