Oak is a Knick for life. He may return this year. He might take the measly 1.4mil just to be back. He is still good at 39 and the Knicks might trade Kurt away to gain a Center or a PG. Knicks will have a striped down frontcourt and Oak may find himself in a nice backup role here.

Wait, besides the nostalgic reason, why wouldn't he want to go to the Lakers and grab a big part of their $4.7M and a ring? Besides which, why would the Knicks want an old 1-year plug when Jerome James and the like are out there?
