then you woke up and realized we wouldn't even make it past the first round...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Boozer would fit here, but I really hate the idea of getting Miles.

I think the way this team makes it past the first is to keep developing Craw, Curry, Frye, Ariza and Lee. There's such a thing as too much talent and Boozer and Miles both need 15 shots to be happy and effective. They wouldn't BOTH fit. But Boozer could. I could see Boozer embracing an enforcer role. But not Miles. Miles wants to be a star. He's like Tim Thomas in that way. He's clearly more talented than TT, and gives more of an effort on D, but he can't shoot and his head isn't on straight.

Boozer was fools gold, he did good in cleveland, shocked a lot of people, then the league caught on, at least that is what it seems like, maybe boozer has some game left in him, I really don't like the bastard...

Boozer played super hard and then got a fat contract, screwing his employer in the process and has spent so much time injured since he signed that contract. And his defense has gotten far weaker. Not worth it.

I'd pass on Boozer. Frye and Lee are the future at pf - and it's a good future. Also, remember what Boozer did to the Cavs.

let me see, what boozer is 23?

the same guy who played on the olympic team and did very well?

the guy who has averaged 17 and 10 the last two years shooting 53%?

or darius miles who is turning into a superstar right now?

I just put it out there--i highly doubt we get both, and in rality I would personally rather have Darius EVEN if I had to take back theo right now, as long as Por throws in one of their several 1s they have stocked. I actualy like Miles more than Boozer, but either would upgrade the Knicks. I tend to agree with cryzdumps, both would be to much

I just don't trust Miles. He has all the talent in the world, but I really do not trust the guy. I think Zeke is going to make a major push for him though.

You would be VERY thin at the guard spot if you gave up Q. I really do like Rose, and I would want to see Booze play for a month or 2 to make sure he wasn't hurt before trading for him.

whoa. You really think so? I'd take Frye over him right now. Same with Curry. Marbury is debatable because of his age, but I still think he's better for the next 4 or 5 years. I don't think Miles is there yet. I don't know, maybe he is, but the times I've seen Portland over the start of this season and end of last it's looked like he was up to the same old stuff. I know he had that huge game in Denver last April, but I'm not sold on him being a consistant, reliable threat. I don't know how he'd take to LB's system either. He needs shots to be happy and I don't know if he's a good influence to bring into this team right now.

thats kind of a loaded question. Of course Darius is better than either Curry or Frye right now, but I also wouldnt trade them to acquire him. I think for all of the sht contracts we have taken in, I would relent for ratliff if I get Miles and 1 of their picks. darius is turning into a superstar, all star what have you and he just turned 24. If ANYONE here thinks the current roster--even hELD together for a few years is good enough to win, you are wrong. we need more talent, especially from the 3 position. Im giving 4 to Frye, but I wouldnt turn my back on a good deal either because Frye can play 4-5.
James is nothing and Butler is trade bait.

I'll take it a step further. If we acquired Darius Miles for what amounts to ending contracts, we would be a LOCK for the playoffs. At some point we integrate Frye into the SL

Portland seems like they want to keep Miles now. Maybe they'll be awful and Miles will start being vocal about his trade demand, but as of right now they want to go with the youth, and Miles at 24 is part of that youth.

We'd be more likely to get Zach Randolph and that thought should terrify EVERYONE. Quote from his former high school coach, "everyday I wake up and read the paper and find out that Zach isn't dead is a good day." Talk about nuff said...
