In the last three games he is 7-10 from behind the three point line. I'm no mathmatician but I believe that's something like 70% from behind the arc. I read recently on one of these threads that Q is not pulling his weight after the Kurt Thomas trade. What about now? I think Kurt's avearging something like 4 boards a game and Q is doing what he was brought in to do. If Nate can start to have any type of impact other than being the team mascot which I believe he will because Isiah has a great eye for talent, then the draft day trade will be completly one sided.

All I'm going to say is that he is averaging 8.1 pts, 4.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists and shooting 39% from the field. If we traded for him just to shoot 3 pters we could have done better by making a lesser trade and bringing in a Piatkowski type or signing Steve Kerr out of the booth.

^boo, Q wasn't brought in to jack up three's. When he was traded all the talk was about how much ELSE he can do and will do in NY--especially show off his post game. We need his outside shooting now but he wasn't brought in for that main reason.

q came into the season hurt and probably as confused about his role as any other knick. he's turning it on as he gets comfortable and hopefully healthy. his D in my eyes has been excellent.

I think the Knicks are trying to establish Curry first in the post but will eventually run some sets for Q down low. It takes time.

Q has to learn when to shoot outside and when to move his game towards the rim.

His D has been silently remarkable. More positional than lockdown.

I like his D and in truth he has been solid for us(even though I haven't been happy with his o). But I think he is being cut slack that Allan Houston never would have been cut( even when he was putting up 20 a game).

Allan Houston got paid 100 of millons of dollars for his jumper. Q is getting a lot less for his services so the slack should be cut up some. 7-10 from three point range has me giddy like kids on christmas I'm sorry guys call me stupid or optimistic, but I feel the best is yet to come

I don't care what players make. Just like every other human they are going to go for as much as they can get. Timing is what gives them their salaries.

That being said if he is 7-10 then he was 4-16 before that and that is unacceptable. If his game is well rounded he needs to play a well rounded game whether he is making 5 mill, 10 mill or 150 mill.

Q is finding his role. He will be a valuable part to this team. He can't guard the J-Rich's of the league, but few can. Heck, look what GSW did to Chicago last night. They destroyed them with JRich leading the charge. Guys like Pierce, Ricky Davis, JRich will give this team lots of problems, but against everyone else, Q will be very good.

Sorry, that's a ridiculous statement. Pierce is one of the best SF in the game.

That's the way it goes. When Pierce had a good team everyone thought that he was unstoppable. Now that his team stinks he is considered a non winning player that just cares about his numbers. In other words Stephon Marbury.

hamstring injuries are completely ignored I see.

Now that he's healthy, the knock is...

"well, he sucked before and that is unacceptable"

Shut up.

Personally I like Q. But my point is that he was not brought here to be Allan Houston. Just because he shoots 7 for his last 10 does not mean he is getting the job done because he's not. But like most people I can put the criticism aside and say I'm patient and confident he will be better.

I can criticize someone without hating them.

There have been a few times when he drove to the basket real swiftly and impressively, I wanted to see a lot more than that. I was more impressed with that than his "Nasty" post ups, which the few times he has done that, he's looked real soft. But then again, there were a few times when he turned the ball over when driving. His strengths are NOT creating his own shot. He has been doing a pretty good job rebounding while he's out there though.

Criticize? That's what you call it?

You're saying that you are allowed to ignore his hamstring injury and find fault in his game, then when he starts to shoot light's out in back to back games, you say he wasn't brought in to do that (how do you know?).

Dude, hate to say it, he was brought in to hit open jumpers. If they are 3's, who cares.

Once we start playing shaq and other dominant big men that will keep curry out the paint, then he'll post up, but he's not posting up so Bippity10 on UltimateKnicks can stop hating on him.

Have you been watching the games?

Example:
Crawford went from bench role player, to starter, to sixth man in 7 games. Now he's flourishing.

Oh, I get it, Q should have been posting up people on his own, ignoring the offensive sets that are called each time down the floor.

Give me a break.

Finding fault for fault's sake is one thing, but ignoring the obvious is just silly.

He's coming out of his slump, he's hitting his open shots and his defense is getting better and better. His rebounding has been solid the entire time (more than TT ever gave us) and he's playing a good overall game.

We drafted Channing (everyone keeps saying Center, but if he is indeed a PF, then that's what Zeke saw in him) so Kurt could definitely have been shown the door.

We raped the suns.

Q is playing well, and I've already forgotten about Houston.

you should too.

And with Crawford and Marbs drive and dish ability, coupled with Curry's post play, Q is happy to take what he can get. Once he's 100%, all hell should break lose, then we'll not like him because he's not with brandy anymore.
