You know i honestly think that if frye played as many minutes as kurt did last year he could put up similar numbers to KT, but as we saw last game he wouldnt do it every night. also I think that if frye played as many minutes as some of those other guys he'd be even higher up in the rankings, but with larry brown as the coach theres only a certain number of minutes a rookie will play.

If Frye played the same ammount of minutes Kurt did last season, he would average 18ppg and 9rpg and 1.5bpg. But Brown won't let him play that many for now. Which I'm okay with as long as it leads to wins.

BTW, after further analysis, 2 of the 3 guys ahead of Frye on the rookie rankings are PGs, a position which we weren't targetting in the draft. He's ranked #2 as far as big men go.
On the down side, we drafted him as a center, and its unlikely he'll
play that position for us, but hopefully EC can stay healthy, so that it
won't be an issue.

Good job by Sean May and Charlie V as well--two other guys who like Frye people doubted.

note to messageboarders. Never doubt a NC grad or Uconn grad, but watch out for Duke, as it appears that they have a young 10 month old PG waiting in the wings named Travis Tyler Bippity. They have him enrolled before he even hit pre school!!

I'm happy for him. I don't think any lottery pick had more doubters than he had. If he keeps this up a lot of people will eat crow

<----- One of those doubters and I am eating crow, but I was basing that on his Summer league play when he was getting pushed around a lot, but working with Aguirre and building his strength are paying even immediate dividends.

You mean like UConn's Tate George & Ricky Moore & Duke's Eric Montross & Joseph Forte?

Just playin' with you...

I'm no fanboy of any of the teams listed (I tend to like UConn though) but this stuff about bashing Duke and praisng NC grads is overrated. There are plenty of Duke alumni who have been solid NBA players to very good ones...

Brand
Grant Hill (despite his serious injuries)
Battier
Deng
Duhon
Jay Williams (pre-injury)
Dunleavy

anyone that thought Ricky Moore or Tate were NBA players were idiots. Uconn players always achieve what they should. They are trained that way. And for you to point them out just shows how little you know about basketball. You are a moron

Dear messageboarders: Please don't joke about Uconn grads because I will obviously over-react.

That's good crow to eat because I remember you saying that you didn't like the pick but you would root hard for him to prove you wrong. The young guys have been very fun to this so far disappointing start of the season.

Allan Houston is better than Ray Allen. Much much much much better. So Bip, how's Travis Knight doing?

Hey man, I root for the underdogs. I officially made Channing and Jamal my favs and even if they stink for the rest of the season, which I know they wont, they will remain my favs. And for now, I'm dancing in my glory.

Yeah I know. He's pretty overrated. He's not in the same company as McGrady.
