I hate it but I've accepted the fact that refs will call offensive fouls against him in the post. I've also accepted the fact that it will probably take a couple years for him to adjust to this I've also accepted that refs will not change the way they call his game until he is a star(hopefully).

But what I cannot accept are those stupid fouls he draws 25 feet from the basket trying to prevent guard penetration. It happens at least once a game and is usually his fourth foul somewhere in the middle of the third quarter. Eddie you are 300 lbs. my 10 month old son who can't walk would blow by you 25 feet from the hoop. Show yourself allow your PG to recover and then get back to the paint. The rest of his flaws can be attributed to youth but this is a drill that should have been learned before he entered high school.

um...he'll be fine because he's fleet of foot. Once the knicks start getting Shaq like love from the refs then he'll continue to be in foul trouble no matter what he does. They call each and every time somebody flops like a fish in front of Curry. This has become the most disturbing trend of the season. I think someone needs to start a thread on that topic.

booman: Maybe you should follow your own lead and start that thread instead of ordering us around

But I agree with you. The offensive foul they called against Sactown was ridiculous. I called it before it happened. They called a weak foul on the Sactown player and I said guaranteed make-up call is coming and I guaranteed it would be Curry. Two seconds later there is a whistle on Curry. Now I agree that I know everything. That is all.

I think Curry is light years ahead of the likes of Sweets when he guards the pick and roll 25 feet from the basket. He has his moments when he gets caught and fouls, but much improved over other bigs. It's tough to defend that.

Curry has to learn how to use his bulk. He has got to feel his defender and spin. I haven't seen Curry fake one way and go the other direction, just go into the lane for the sling baby hook, but maybe that's what the coaching staff wants.

With a guy that is that strong the key to his success is getting deep into the paint and sealing his man off and then getting the entry pass. It's all about beating his man up court.

Curry understands the concept of how to defend the pick and roll. But he is missing the most important point. On the switch his job is not to defend the 6-1 lightning quick pg because he will lose everytime that far from the basket. His job is to show long enough to allow his PG to recover. His overzealousness leads to at least 1 or 2 fouls a game. You can even see LB raise his arms and Eddie Curry nod in acknowledgement. He knows what he needs to do but it's still a bad habit that is hard to breakl

it's funny...two years ago, we all were like sweets and lampe are the future frontcourt of this team.

now we have curry and frye. it's as if sweets and lampe spent two years at BALCO.
