don't go crazy guys, it's just an idea that would work for us long term. i'm not saying we need to ship him out right away, it's just a thought.

toronto gets the best player, BY FAR and they get someone that will sell tickets for them.

what we get: well, first and foremost, take marbury out of the equation. (the writing is on the wall, it's gonna happen sooner or later). but we get a starting SF that can handle the ball and a defensive minded pg that played for LB. not to mention the 2 years we save on the cap.

That deal makes a lot of sense. Toronto will get better and a good buzz. They could even make the playoffs. They at least get to save face with their fans.

We could use mike james, and Rose is short term cap fodder, and gives us a massive ending deal.

Dumping Steph is not going to yield anyting better.

the only trade that makes sense, and I'm a HUGE marbury fan, is the Miami Heat deal. They get Marbs and we get walker and jwill.

But in the end, LB just needs to start using marbury as a shooting point guard that can create for others by forcing defenses to concentrate on stopping him from scoring.

We could use his 30 point outbursts...how come Phill isn't "breaking down" kobe? How come Pierce on the rebuilding celtics is still allowed to do what he does? Melo, lebron, they all have schemes designed for them.

Why is LB trying to take away marbury's strengths to prove a point?

I'll tell you why...

Marbs strengths, while are able to guide us to a respectable .500 record and a .500 record gets you to the playoffs, I think LB is thinking beyond that.

Let the league think marbs isn't going to shoot, then when the time is right, HE EXPLODES.

trust me...it's not addition by subtraction, it's multiplication by division.

break the team down, build it back up. Instill the fundamentals, then let the athleticism and creativity ADD to it.

When the season starts to go on the grind and players get nicked up, the the teams that are the most fundamentally sound are the ones that continue to win games.

Not the ones that ride the pierce's and the Tmac's and the kobe's 30 point games.

LB doesn't get along with anybody. He has to make this work, marbs isn't going anywhere this year unless the knicks are 5 - 15 after 20 games.

Jalen has more versatility and his shot is a little better.

but the issue isn't who is a better shooter, the issue is who is a better leader. We know marbs is better at filling the basket than rose and mike james combined.
