The first couple games I wrote off because he had been hurt, but now that he is healthy I am asking myself why in hell we traded for Richardson??
This guy is useless. He doesn't move on offense, plays mediocre defense,
and the times that does get the ball he either pump fakes once and
then throws up a brick, or passes it right away...
He sucks. he is not good. I had never seen him play too much
before these last four games so I thought he was better than he actually
is, especially since he was putting up 15ppg and 6rpg on a powerhouse
like the Suns last year. But no, in fact he is much worse than I thought.
Does nothing. Would rather have a hobbled Allan Houston out there
than Q-Rich, or even a 35 year old Latrell Sprewell. He needs
to be traded
The Knicks are beat street but there's finally hope in the air!

Well my friend who has been watching Richardson since he was at DePaul claims that he has never been good at defense or creating his own shot so, my opinion isn't completely bias

do you think your friend is the only one who has been watching him since then. I remember Q well in his depaul days... Q is not a great defender, but he is not bad either.. good post player tho..

look, we traded kurt and his semi-big deal for Q and nate.

Q was coming from a 60 win team and nate was a highly revered pick.

but why would a 60 win team move Q AND a #1 for kurt? red flags? possibly.

Q is obviously either hurt or was very overrated.

would you trade Q and nate for kurt right now? looks like we could use him, no?

Completely agree.

NYMecca23, we all need to watch the Knicks for a little bit longer.

First, ask this questions: What is the Knicks' offensive plan? Seems to me it was establish the post early and often with Curry. Curry needs touches and the Knicks need his post presense. Once Curry can remember how to score and/or pass out of the post, the other wing players on the team will become more effective. Generally, POR didn't really have to collapse on Curry cause he was either causing an offensive foul or shooting without looking to pass.

Since Curry doesn't pass out of the post, the wing players don't get a change to cut/move on the perimeter.

What is Q's role? He is a post up 2/3. But the team NEEDS to establish Curry first before they can even think about poting Q. Also, Q is probably not the pure shooting outside 3-point threat ala Redd or Allan Houston. He needs a PG or post player to attract attention. Marb is not doing that yet and neither is Curry.

Patience.

Because Depaul is in Chicago.

De-Ag"W"ire is from chicago and Depaul, and De-Isiah is from Chicago.

Cuz if we still had KT his overrated interior defense and overrated 10 rebounds per game we might be oh and four! HA HA!

But wait, these deal are about the future right? But if we are oh and four we must panic now! Oh my god, what shall we do?

Doesn't that make him a winner?

Where are all the "we need winners" guys at now?
60 wins is alot of wins, can't he rub that off on us?

NO WAY! The last thing we need is another veteran for Larry to play ahead of Frye and Lee!

NY needs a 2 who is a shooter.

Draining shots from any and everywhere around the perimeter DOESN"T sound like Q.

Somebody to give some scoring at the rim and nail a couple 3's like a good 6th or 7th man should DOES sound like Q.
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

yes it does and that's what we all hope. i just don't know how he's gonna fit right now. we have yet to run any type of offense for q at all. maybe that will come in time, and hopefully when curry kicks it back out and the ball goes around the perimeter.

Is Q actually healthy now? (I don't get the audio on the games where I watch; so I don't know what the announcers are saying.) I don't think we can assume he's healthy just because he's playing. We really don't know if it's physical health, psychological difficulty adjusting to NY, or something else.

Agreed. A) We gave up VERY little to get Q (plus we got Nate). B) Q isn't 100%, so you're not seeing the real Q right now.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
Why did we trade for Q-Rich again??
